I studied manicure as part of a hairdressing course in the late 80's in the UK. Since the popularity of gel nails has become so important to many women I too frequented local nail salons for gel, shellac etc on my fingers and toes. During these visits I found the lack of attention paid to cleanliness and hygiene a little disturbing plus the nails never seemed to last long and the level of service inconsistent. I heard horror stories from friends about gaining nail infections and technicians prying acrylic nails off with other nails. I felt this couldn't be right and that there was opportunity for a better, healthier service.

I discovered Bio Sculpture and was immediately impressed with the quality of the product and the ethos behind the company (please see pinned post). This product is not the cheapest on the market but clients can be assured it is the best for the health of their nails. During training Bio Sculpture dismiss a lot of practices that many nail salons participate in like cuticle clipping and the use of nail drills, both practices of which are harmful to our nails, cuticles and nail beds. I liked this as I myself had often questioned this due to my 80`s manicure training and knowledge.

So I enrolled in the Bio Sculpture training for their gel nail treatments as gel was not something we did in 1989! I learnt how to use the product to carry out a simple gel overlay, sculptured nails and tips. In addition with the use of a mesh fabric they call silk I can even sculpt onto bitten down nails and broken nails. I have also purchased a small supply of Bio Sculpture nail polishes for those people who may not be ready for the gel system but would like a basic manicure to help with nail maintenance.

I endeavour to offer an elevated experience to my clients taking on their preferences and desires for their nails. My service includes a complimentary hand and lower arm massage with every treatment to really feel relaxed and pampered. Bio Sculpture is a sock off system so a drill will not be used on your nails.
