I've always had great service at this location. Tonight was no different. Had great staff help me with a few different purchases. I also really like the on-site geek squad setup. I bought a film screen protector for my iPhone screen for $20 and if it ever peels or bubbles they will replace it for free. Great deal!

Smallest one I've been too but still had a good selection. There seemed to be quite a lot employees not doing much, just standing near the cashiers. In addition while I was exploring products there was no employee within that department that I could ask questions nor was I approached.

Definitely my go-to electronics shop in Edmonton. Lots of options in town, but they're local to me, have a pretty good selection of items, and you can have anything shipped in free for pick-up. Staff isn't pushy either, which is a plus.

I purchased a laptop from a different Best Buy in January and the hard drive died on me and I lost all my data. My fiance took it to Geek Squad and we were told what it would cost to do a data recovery and how I might not get my data. After getting a second opinion, we decided to do a exchange for a new laptop and take a loss with the data. We went to the Best Buy in South common and were told they couldn't find me in the system. It was frustrating how one store could find me and another one couldn't.
We returned back to the downtown location and between the manager at Geek Squad and Curtis, I was able to get a new laptop, and the help for my data in case i lost it all over again. My fiance and i were told about the home care program and the data recovery we weren't informed of when i originally purchased my laptop. I was a very unsatisfied and grumpy customer at the start of Tuesday this week when my laptop stopped working and knowing i lost my data but at the end with the help of Curtis we left the store happy and feeling better that this laptop had the protection in case something happened to it.
I would recommend if anyone has computer problems to see the Geek Squad at this location and if you are looking to purchase a new computer to go and see Curtis. We won't make you feel pressured into buying something you don't want and will help to make sure the laptop is protected properly.

Had a great experience with the staff at the cellphone counter. Gabby and Stuart helped my girlfriend and I get the exact phones we needed, and were even nice enough to call our respective cell carriers and get us a better deal. We spent at least an hour at the counter with them; they got us absolutely everything they could, from a discounted phone case to a lower price on our upgrade fees. The manager on duty, whom I cannot remember the name of, was also more than willing to help us out, which really made it feel like a pressure free environment.

The staff is usually available in various departments to answer questions, and the selection of items available does not differ from the larger versions of the store elsewhere in the city. Sometimes the lineup at the till can take a little long, but it's not long enough to be frustrating. There are usually sale items available in store (the website is almost always up to date on the stock available) and the staff is always able to point you in the right direction.

They tell you there's no commission but after you agree to buy they spend 20 mins trying to convince you to get the best buy warranty option.

Great service by some fantastic staff. They were very helpful. I ended up coming back later to purchase something from this store. Also, the store's layout is easy to navigate unlike some big box stores which was nice.

I tried to get warranty replacement for a PC under a plan I bought for the PC. The Geek Squad Tech and the Store Manager would not replace the PC telling me they would have to send it to Vancouver and it would take 4-6 weeks. Totally feeling ripped off I went to Best Buy Edmonton North where I made the original purchase and they replaced the PC immediately with no hassle and huge apologies for my inconvenience and the treatment I received at Best Buy Edmonton Downtown.
