Lost grip on my brakes
almost got into collision
Had a major car breaks done back in March 2017 cost me over $1000
Did not expect something like this incident to happen.
Did not realize warranty covers the first 3 months only which I'm surprised
the service advisor will consult with the manager in regards to labour cost.
Brought the car at around 5:15 pm.

Alan B., service advisor whom I'm dealing with talked to the manager and labour cost has been waived and would honour the warranty for the caliper defect as I am a regular customer.

unfortunately they have to order the part so my car had to stay overnight.

the car part should arrive tomorrow afternoon so around 4 pm, my car should be ready for pick up.

I got a courtesy drive which I appreciate very much.

Just had some work done at Canadian Tire, Manning Town Centre. Because the car problem had been ongoing for a while, Mike simply charged me for the price of the part, and the installation was complementary!!! So much appreciated!

I have been using the Auto Service Dept.at this store for almost 20 years, and I have been happy with the work done. Mike is always professional, and does what he says he is going to do. More than once, he has gone out of his way to ensure that I have been satisfied with the work done!

Calvin has worked on my car several times, and again, he keeps me in the loop, lets me know what work he has done, and what the problem was.

Thanks guys! And thanks to Canadian Tire Service Dept.!

Corrected Review: I would like to correct my previous experience with this store. Mike is an amazing personality with incredible professionalism. He resolved all the misunderstanding I might had and provided me an excellent customer service. I am very satisfied with the response and would encourage everyone to approach mike in case they had a bad experience with Auto Service Centre. Thanks Mike

Earlier Review: Do not use Auto Service. They are all about making money out of you. I got my tires changed for $17 in grand opening deal and wondered what did they make out of it? They then told me that your need tires alignment so extra $85, I believed them and went there, They further told me that there are some parts missing so another $30 so over all it will cost you $191. I took my vehicle to my dealership and they told me that it was unnecessary. Then I realised that $17 were just the starting cost. These people are not 100% honest to their customers.

I was clearly standing in line to pick up my vehicle from auto service. One customer service worker doing up some paper work, refusing to make eye contact. The other customer service worker proceeds to take people standing behind me. First worker complains to other worker that she has to stay until closing all the while ignoring me, and then walking off. I stood around for a good 10 minutes while clearly being next in line before anyone acknowledged me (and while one of them continued to help the people behind me). Pretty frustrating to say the least. Would not recommend this place; telling all family and friends to avoid.
Looking at the other reviews, it would appear that I am not the only one who had to face such poor customer service. I've had excellent service at the other CT's in the city and was excited that a new one opened up near by. Pretty disappointed with what I experienced here.

So today I went to this store fro the first time, just opened, I wanted to check it out, nice store, normally I'm a big fan of CT, perhaps my favorite flyer in the mail, so I went to inquire about winter tires but the young man in training was a bit lost and it took a long time for him to even figure out his way through their computer system, another staff member had to help, the kid apologized I told him we all started that way, but the install and balance price they gave me in parts went from $24 to $30 in the service department, a bit of price discrepancy, again expected but what made me livid was the attitude of one of the service attendants attitude, he was not the one that attended me but the customer before me, with a sour face he just gave him a hand signal to the side, no " can I help you" or "what can I help you with today", just like signaling to a dog or a cow, he is lucky that it wasn't me , the outcome would have been ugly, staff that lack people people skills or customer service, should be kept in the back. I'm a tech too but I treat my customers with respect and dignity, I have management experience too, he is just lucky that I'm not his boss. It's simple, you don't like your job then get on that you like. To the owner, I hope you read this and have a chat with your manager because it is not the first time that I have experienced this, if he knows anything about management, he should know that employees are a reflection of their supervisor, if that is the case, you should do a serious performance evaluation, because your new store deserves better.

I don't why people are bragging about the customer service, for me I have always got good service.

My husband and I went here to grab a couple parts to fix the brakes on my car and we had the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a store like this. The first person to help us sold us the wrong parts for my car. When we called back about the fact that they had given us the wrong Parts the person who answered the phone was very helpful and informed us that we had been sold the incorrect part and to come back and they would exchange the correct part for us. Unfortunately this person was on break by the time we got back to the store and it was the manager who helped us out. This manager proceeded to tell us for the next 15 minutes that no they had sold us the right part, despite the fact that we brought in the original brake parts from my car and the brake parts he sold us and they were not the same part. The manager's response was "well the system says it's right and the only thing it says is to sell the part in pairs". When my husband suggested that he look under the year previous of my car the manager refused insisting that he was correct and we had the right part for my car. When we gave him the name of the employee who told us that they had sold us the wrong part and asked for his assistance instead the managers response was "I think he's on break".
I have never encountered a manager with such poor customer service skills, repeatedly telling the customer that they are wrong, even when the customer is proving that they are right. So we took our business to Napa Auto Parts and had the right part 5 minutes later for $50 cheaper. We will never be going back to this Canadian Tire store.

Knowledgeable staff. Courteous and thankfully I was not in there too long. In and out. They opened up another till once the line up became long.

The staff is generally very accomidating. However, it's very sad that they won't warranty branded Mastercraft tools without a receipt. A powerful warranty was one of the main reasons I ever bought Mastercraft tools. I probably won't buy any more.
