Canadian Tire

As mentioned in other reviews the staff can be lacking in the knowledge department when it comes to the products.

I came there looking for a set of hex / Allen keys. I looked in what I believed to be the likely places and after coming up empty I cornered a staff member and asked. After getting two more staff members involved in my quandary I was told I may need to check at Home Depot.

Good Lord.

Home Depot had me covered, so I guess in the end they did know where to look.

Terrible store. If I didn't have any other Canadian Tire stores to compare it to then I guess I wouldn't know that they can be so much better in so many different ways. It's small, dingy, and poorly laid out. Today I was in shopping, had picked out some stuff and started looking for a certain item. It was obvious I was not finding it. I walked by 2 staff who were chit chatting and paid no interest to me. A 3rd made eye contact with me from the end of an isle and looked scared that I may actually ask something and quickly turned around and darted around a corner. The one staff who I was able to yell my question to before he could hide appeared annoyed that he couldn't get away. He stated that I would need to order what I was looking for before I even finished describing what I was looking for. In the end I pushed my half full cart to the side and left with no intentions of returning. I used to treat Canadian Tire as my go-to place for just about everything, until I visited this one several times, receiving no service, not finding what I am looking for, and leaving pi%^*% off.

I love this canadian tire. I would prefer going here to the one in High River. The staff is always very helpful.

DONT BRING YOUR VEHICULE THERE Worst service ever AVOID THAT PLACE if you need out of province Inspection or any inspection done. Inspection take usually 1h30... it took 5h30.... the guy at the desk was the worst unprofessional person I ever meet.That person shouldn't work in public. My car successfully pass 2 other inspections, those guy made it sound like it was just good for garbage. They said everything is falling a part , rusty as hell and good for garbage. AVOID THAT PLACE.

Wish I could give less stars than this, or a minus sign to indicate how poor this store is. Like any business, the staff are an indication of the quality of management....inferior. When you mention CT in Okotoks, most people just roll their eyes and indicate they avoid the place at all cost. They should emulate the new High River store where staff actually talk to you, ask you if they can help etc. Most Okotokians avoid the local CT store if at all possible and tend to indicate that it is one of most frustrating stores in town. Consistently, I come away frustrated at not being able to buy what I want because it isn't in stock or staff are absent. I go anywhere else first, even to Calgary to avoid this store.
Today however, I got lazy and found that when I thought the store couldn't stoop to a new low, they unfortunately amazed me with their lack of training and knowledge, of their complacency. I bought one item with a shelf price of $15. At the till, the staff wanted $16 (plus GST of course). I indicated the disparity in price and the staff were bewildered at what to do. I insisted on the lowest price so they said okay. Then I asked if they followed the 'Scanning Code of Practice'? She had no idea what that was so I pointed to the big sign right beside the till. She again didn't know what to do so she called another staff member over who said I get $5 off. I indicated that is NOT what their posted practice is and that I am supposed to receive $10 off for their errors. This is just one of many goof-ups at this store, that I've experienced. The poor staff don't know what they don't know.....training and leadership is obviously absent. What a sad business this is. Go elsewhere; this store is just a store of frustration.

Excellent store. Find almost everything in there, from kitchen stuff to car things.

Sucks. Moved their counters to block off tills U have to walk 1/2 a block around. Real nice for people with walking issues ♿

After a bad experience at Okotoks Nissan, I came here pretty desperate for a quick car repair so I could get home. The woman at the parts counter was very friendly, and said if it was simple that they could fit me in. I assured her I only needed a "band-aid" to get the car home. They were able to do the repair quickly, replace the bolt that fell off, and even put back the plastic liner and secured it as well. I was very impressed with the service I received today. Thank you so much.

If you have the time just go to the Shawnessy store, such a better operation. I did a bathroom renovation a few years back and purchased a faucet from the Okotoks store. It sat in my basement for a few weeks and when I tried to install it there were missing parts. The store manager wouldn't even let me exchange it for a new one. I drove into Shawnessy and was given a full refund without a single question asked. I have to think the flaws with the Okotoks Canadian Tire start at the top!

They finally fixed the faucet in the ladies washroom. It's actually useable now 😂

Make sure watch your bill when you buy stuff from okotoks canadian tire they are ripping of everyone.
Because they put red tag sale cheaper but when you going to pay it is different price and when you show that price to associate they just say sorry that's all many many times happen with me so be careful try not to go to okotoks Canadian tire go somewhere else. Now i go to high river one they are awesome thanks

I called the garage twice and both times I could barely hear the service manager. I called to let them know that my check tire pressure light had been on since they had changed my tires. Instead of saying to come right in he made me make an appointment to come in. I decided to check my pressure and all my tires were at 30 psi instead of 38 psi. I called to tell him this and there was no apology or assurance that he would investigate the matter or follow up with the service tech. I will not have a basic service like this done again at this garage. Ridiculously bad costumer service.
