absolutely ATROCIOUS. they have no idea what theyre talking about, amanda (the manager) has an attitude problem and doesn't care about her customer experience AT. ALL. i have banked with cibc for years and they always manage to find a way to screw me over. the only nice people are the ones on the twitter customer service account who try to fix your problems. amanda is honestly such a bad manager, i will not return to this location until i see her fired.

Terrible experience. I went in to pay off my credit card and cancel it since I didn't need it. Gave them cash from the ATM to pay it off, and thought it was a done deal, credit card account was closed, card was cut up, and thrown in the garbage by the man helping me. 4 months later I get a sternly-worded letter in the mail saying I have to pay off my credit card immediately or else it will go to collections (!) I went into the branch to ask what was going on, and was basically told to go eff myself because there was no record of my transaction. It was paid in cash, there was no electronic "paper trail". I tore my house apart looking for the receipt, then realized that since it was (supposed to be) an account that was closed 4 MONTHS AGO, I probably threw out the receipt thinking I wouldn't need it. I've spoken with them 3 times trying to resolve this, but they are adamant that there is nothing they can do. So they made me pay off my card AGAIN. I feel like something criminal has happened, the gentleman who helped me that day made a MAJOR ERROR that cost me over $100. I just want to know where my money went that day. Apparently it just disappeared...or someone there had a really expensive lunch on my dime....CIBC just lost a long-time customer. I get that people make mistakes, but this is unforgivable. DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH.

this is not the only cibc where the staff need improvement but its definitely the worst

CIBC is absolutely horrible to deal with. My card was clearly compromised. When I first called to report what had happened I was told I "might get my money back" it's been a week I have yet to be contacted. I have contacted the branch manager as well I have called the 1-800 # to inquire the status and I haven't gotten any further than I was a week prior. I can not wait for this to be resolved so I can close my accounts.
