Absolute waste of time ...
The only reason I have not closed my account, is that this is my oldest bank account (and the branch used to be closest to my office):
* Always slow lines (not necessarily long)
* Getting to talk to someone is hard (they never answer phones)
* I had the ultimate worst experience last Saturday though: I had an appointment with a bank specialist (I had to book the appointment in person during weekdays too!). After arriving on time, I was told I had to wait 5 minutes. After waiting for 15 minutes (and not meeting the specialist) and remembering all my previous bad experiences), I just decided to not ruin my weekend more than that and walk away and never step into this branch again.
The branch manager is the rudest person I have ever met. Service is slow, even to deposit a $20 check. This service is making me consider switching banks.
4 tellers doin nothing but walking around been I there for 5 min looking at them
I would strongly agree with Ahmed. I too have a very good working relation with Wenmin Zhong and found her professional, friendly and co-operative. I have trusted her with my finances and have never found any issues or concerns with her and I would too strongly deny "Arghya Basu" claims. Wenmin Zhong has very good and complete understanding of the CIBC banking system.
I would like to refute Mr. Arghya Basu's comments made earlier in the CIBC College plaza review. I have known Wenmin Zhong with CIBC from the last five year and she is very professional and helpful. It is just because of Wenmin Zhong I have all the products from CIBC from Mortgage, to Chequing, Saving Account’s, RRSP, RESP, US Dollar Account etc. I have the whole line of products from CIBC because I have been only dealing with Wenmin since the last 5 years in CIBC, even I have moved away from the University area but I have managed to keep my accounts with CIBC College plaza branch because of my confidence in Wenmin and her great customer service.
She is really co-operative, helpful & friendly and completely understands the Banking system, she has advised me on my financial matters and I am happy with the timely advice and experience she has shared with me as a Client.
In the last five year I have never faced any problems with Wenmin Zhong and would strongly recommend her to everyone. The mortgage rate I got because of her was the best and wasn’t matched by any other financial institution in Edmonton.
Whatever CIBC is paying her should double it. She is doing a fantastic job and she is the reason I keep coming back to CIBC.
Probably, I have kept all the CIBC products because of her fast, quick and prompt customer service once she leaves I might be moving on to another financial institute for sure.
A very helpful Team. They helped me tremendously in many areas of banking and made me comfortable when discussing financial matters. Tony Yang and other 2 Team Members (I cannot recall names) provided me with an excellent Customer Service. Thank you!
Helpful, pleasant staff and explained everything I needed to know.
Avoid Ms Wenmin Zhong as your agent. She is really poor in understanding the banking system. Other staffs are OK.
Really bad service. I tried to explain how I transfer money and withdraw cash. And he said I was not polite enough.
