Formerly Caritas Foundation, Covenant Foundation was formed on April 1, 2016 to increase fundraising capacity and promote community health, awareness and education of Covenant Health and Catholic health care; and to raise funds to support excellence in patient care, research, and education at Covenant facilities across Alberta.

Covenant Foundation supports 19 Covenant facilities, including: Banff Mineral Springs Hospital, Chateau Vitaline, Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre, Foyer Lacombe, Grey Nuns Community Hospital, Holy Cross Manor, Martha's House, Misericordia Community Hospital, St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital, St. Joseph's General Hospital, St. Joseph's Home, St. Margeurite Manor, St. Michael's Health Centre, St. Therese Villa, Saint Thomas Health Centre, Youville Home, Villa Caritas, and Villa Marie.
