Doctors Plus Medical Centre

The doctor I saw didn't really assess what was up with me just poked where I told her I thought I might have a fracture. She didn't ask what medications I took if any, and prescribed me medication that not only doesnt help, but has a very negative interaction with the ones I take already. She didn't tell me what she thought the issue was either, just sent me off for the prescriptions and an x-ray.

I just went in this morning with a severe pain in my lower left side, I am not feeling well at all... I saw Dr. Salma a few times in the past for some other issues and she is absolutely amazing!! I cannot tell you enough how great of a doctor she is. I was so worried, she calmed me down and is just absolutely an amazing doctor... I saw her twice and the appointments were walk in and sporadically throughout a year... she remembered everything about me. Amazing doctor... and I am going to call if she is accepting new patients to make her my family physician... Outstanding! Thank you so much Doctor Plus staff for taking me in promptly and a huge thanks to Dr. Salma.

I have been coming to this clinic for a long time and its been getting worse over the years. I recently switched to a new med which was causing me some anxiety, so I went as a walk-in to see if I could get put on a low-dose antianxiety medication to help with the symptoms. I was seen by Dr. Jabeen who would not listen to anything I was saying, and cut me off when I was trying to tell her about my symptoms and ask her for anxiety medication. I am a nurse and I know my body well. It was very frustrating that she would not listen and proceeded to put me on a maximum dose of the medication that was causing me anxiety. She told me to try this for a couple days and see if the anxiety subsided. That same night I had a severe panic attack for two hours and was trembling and shaking and sweating all night. My anxiety has been much more severe since she told me to maximize the dose.

I was there just yesterday. I have a simple request for a prescription, nothing major. I booked the appointment in advance but I had to wait anyway, and it took 40 minutes over all. I took 2 stars down for it.
On another hand, I have never seen a clinic that would process the doctor's appointments faster than that. Besides, this one provides walk-ins which doesn't make the life of either clinic or the customers easier.
So, I think the people should be more diligent with appointments and not reschedule them 100+ times over.
Can't say anything about the doctor's competency. I had a really simple request, no-brainer. In my country I can buy it not having any prescription at all.

Don't be fooled by the decent hours - this is a joke of a medical clinic. Took my daughter with a cold that wouldn't quit and was told she was in heart failure. (What?!??) I requested a different doctor (then waited for an hour) and he said yes, she did in fact just have a cold and gave her a puffer. Gave it another chance and my husband went with allergies, he was told he'd be prescribed a higher dose of allergy medication and then was given a prescription for over the counter. When he called the clinic to ask if they could fix the prescription they said there was nothing they could do unless he came in and waited to see a doctor again. The people on the front desk are nice, especially considering they probably have to deal with doctor mistakes all day.

I was referred to this clinic by the Airdrie Ugent Care, after being diagnosed with a concussion. From the word go, this clinic did nothing but disappoint me. The doctors I saw was more concerned about name dropping other patients that he has worked with vs caring about my current situation. He never once did a neurologic exam on me, he never test any of my coordination, or really anything. The only thing he liked to do was talk about how this prescription he was giving me has worked for all of these famous people with concussion. He didn't even advise me on the side effects or anything. I personally felt like it was more about him and what he knew vs how he could help me. I encourage you to avoid this place!! Because of my doctors lack of care I'm still suffering from post concussion syndrome because he never helped me get safely back to work. Epic fail.

Dr Alvi has been our family doctor for atleast a couple years, she never disappoints. She always has genuine concern and really cares about her patients. Really makes it worth the wait if you book and appointment with her.

Horrible. Everytime I go there I'm given a different doctor. Wtf???

I workd for this location and seeing the comments about the kindness of the management is very true. Manager is one of the most unfriendly person I have ever met. You do something wrong you get screamed at and made to feel like you are incapable of doing better. I've witnessed the way patients are dealt with and not alWays dealt with properly. There is one staff member who is very kind hearted and sweet to everyone. The others not so nice. Doctors are good but I e witnessed them speak of a patient and laugh about it. If you know what's best don't go to this location.
