Once again we are bringing you eye art from around the world! Here we are at the Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal. Such a magical place created mostly by the Italian set-designer and architect Luigi Manini (1848-1936).
Happy Valentine’s Day - yes we are a day late, but aren’t you still celebrating/protesting?Happy Valentine’s Day - yes we are a day late, but aren’t you still celebrating/protesting?
It's COLD out there, so we're going to warm you up with more eye art! We love Yayoi Kusama's Optical Illusions and we think her Polka Dots look like eyes! It's a reach but don't you feel warmer already????
Congrats to our amazing Dr. Habib for this feature on the Today show. If you haven't checkout Umay's Digital Detox, we highly recommend it and will be offering them in our office soon!

Today we want to focus on one of the charities that is very near and dear to the heart of our practice. One! International is hosting their annual fundraiser on February 1st and we encourage you all to support this very worthwhile charity started by our very own friends so we know that any donations go straight to helping educate children in India!

Happy New Year to all! May 2019 be your best year ever xxxxHappy New Year to all! May 2019 be your best year ever xxxx
It's not exactly eye art but it's close ... We bring you this bold photograph of the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the Victoria Miro art gallery in London England. It's just about festive enough to use as the backdrop for our happy holidays post! Thank you to all of you, our loyal patients. On behalf of all of you, we were able to feed 100 families at the Mustard Seed. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at Doctor Denis Meyer and our wonderful staff!
Join us in congratulating Dr. Meyer's son and one of our part time optometric assistants, Lachlan, in being selected to represent Canada at the World Championships of Cheer! Way to go Lachlan!
Hey everyone! We're pretty excited about Dr. Meyer's son's role in this cool little movie!
We finally have recuperated enough from Grey Cup to say we hope you all had a great time! Great job Edmonton! We were especially thrilled to see our son at Commonwealth performing with the Edmonton Eskimos Cheer Team!
If you'd like to give the gift of sight this holiday season, may we recommend https://onesight.org/drives/thailand-bord er-project…
This was just too adorable not to share
Congratulations to our very own Dr. Habib on wining the Prairies Export Pitch Competition. Soon we will be carrying Umay REST: Thermal Meditation™ Self-Care Technology so book an appointment to discuss your options! We currently spend an average of 10 hours and 39 minutes a day on our digital devices. But this 'time saver' comes at a cost… our sleep, vision and mental health are all at risk. Umay REST’s Thermal Meditation™ resets the effects of screen time and redefines self-care.
Amazing Eye Art. When graphic artist Escher drew his own Eye, he was looking at his reflection in a mirror. If you look closely, you will see that he drew a skull in the center of the eye because he believes "we are all confronted with death whether we like it or not". Not the cheeriest of messages BUT still a pretty cool piece of art. Happy Friday!
We realize there is a lot going on in the world today but wanted to keep up with our emphasis on lightheartedness. Here is another fabulous eye related photo found along the Lake Louise highway!
After a successful and crazy busy back to school season, we travelled across Canada to see Peggy's Cove. We were blown away both by the lighthouse and the surrounding scenery of Nova Scotia! If you haven't been, we highly recommend a trip to the Maritime provinces. We look forward to seeing you all for your eye care needs as the weather starts to cool (sorry!).
For those of you who aren't able to get down to Whyte to check out the Okuda we talked about in a previous post, here it is - finally finished! Congrats The Holy Roller for pulling this off!
We don't know HOW we missed all the fundraising for this Mural. We saw Okuda's original art last year in Miami BUT for those of you who are interested, please check out the video introducing the beautiful work of art in Edmonton!!!! We went down to watch it going up yesterday! So, we'll just have to show our support post-installation by checking out The Holy Roller Pizza! You know how we love Pizza!
Quality staff & doctors! Love this place - don't hesitate to visit this office!
