You say you want a lead sled?? We now have 50 lbs of it on hand for future use
What some might neglect to think about until they drop their ride is driveshaft clearance. This is the 62 Continental currently in the shop. Since it is being lowered and will ride on air, I had to raise the tunnel roughly 5 inches at the rear to provide adequate clearance when layed out. Not very glamorous. But necessary. 😫😃
62 Lincoln Continental front suspension upgrades. Swapping the stock crossmember from a Marquis into the Connie.
Designing and fabbing the rear suspension upper and lower links for the 62 Continental, and installing a Ford big-car 9 inch rear diff. What arent shown are the upper and lower air bag mounts, as this car will have full air ride- but there will be updates ☺
just sharing a post that was shared to me. 👍😄👍😁👍
Some random shots of smaller metalshaping and repairs going on at dualdivisions. ☺ These are from the not- too -distant -past. As a matter of fact the first 3 pics- the rusty Dodge front fndr- was when my 'wing' was still hurting from the ladder tumble, and may have even still been casted up. Doing alot better now 👍
Its the middle of Aug and my arm, hand and wrist are feeling alot better, but still not 100%. Yet...life still goes on, and its about time to continue where i left off begining with this 1960 Chev pickup. 👍👍 Check it out!
Just a bit longer- another week and a half-till i get the cast off my arm! 👍 Im anxious to get back at it in the shop, and I want to express my appreciation to my customers and friends that have been more than patient with this speedbump. Thank you, guys !! ☺☺☺☺☺
Its been a process...but Clementine is done!! I couldnt be happier for Lucas! And Matt, you nailed the suspension and air ride! Nice job buddy 👍
Squeezed in a small pinstriping job on a Harley Crossbones 😎
a few pics of Andrew's 67 F100 build happening now in the shop. Rusted out upper corner of cowl repaired and ready for epoxy. Another step ahead. 👍
56 F100 front fender repairs
56 F100 rear fender repair.
Jim's 47 coupe had some issues with the prior air bag install. When the car was at a decent lookiing stance the bags were fully deflated, and there was no ride to speak of. When the bags were aired up so the ride was ok, it looked terrible- with way too much forward rake. Into the shop it came for some major rear end suspension mods...

A couple more pics of the Chevordillac progress up to this stage. The suicide doors are hung and latched, the side steps are good to go- all bolted on. And of course the roof and cab back are body worked and primed with seam sealer in the drip rails. I eliminated the clip that bridged the drip rails. Rounded the doors. Shaved the handles. Peaked the roof. Next would be the glass so I can finish the metal work and prime around the windshield frame. ☺
For those of you who follow my progress, no words are needed. ☺
Ever since I aquired and started the 56 F100 build (so many years ago) I saw I made a mistake, and that was I should have had the cab sandblasted before I started building it into the Chefordillac. The previous owner had sanded the roof and rear cab down to bare metal -and so began heavy surface rust growth. Yuck I had wrestled with the idea of sandblasting, but didn't want the hassle of the medium all up under the dash. I decided to go at it with 36 grit grinding discs on my disc grinder, and after a couple of days of hard labour and heavy dust...voila. Now to just go over it with 80 grit and chemical rust neutralizer, and should be good to go for primer! 😀
I had the pleasure of doing business with Dave last year when I contracted him to do some custom metal work , painting and pin striping on a custom dash for my 1930 model A. Throughout the process from the initial meeting, through design and changes to the finished product I found Dave to be open-minded , honest and enthusiastic to "create" . His personality lends to awesome customer service skills. His creativity and talent provided me with a dash that far,far exceeded mine and my wife's expectations. I would (and do) recommend Dave for any custom metal and or pin striping for your project(s)
Dave's work looks fantastic! I can't wait to work with him in the future!
Dave is a great honest guy to deal with, he did amazing tin work on my floor pans in my 26 T coupe.
Dave does wicked work! Amazing metal work and excellent pinstriper. Did lots of work on my 51 ford
