Hi! I’m Desiree!

My love for photography started about 6 years ago, and my love for newborns… well, I’ve always loved newborns! I love their tiny fingers and tiny toes, the cute baby noises they make, the little baby yawns, and their cute little expressions. I love seeing their parents fall more and more in love with them, and I love being there for the beginning of a new adventure. Being able to take photos of newborns brings me such joy, and I feel very fortunate to have the career that I do.

I didn’t always know that I would become a maternity newborn photographer. Six summers ago I started off assisting a local wedding photographer. That summer I learned that I could have fun and get paid. At that point, I thought I might become a wedding photographer, and I chose to attend the photography program at NAIT. After I earned my Photographic Technology diploma, and had images published in the Professional Photographer’s of Canada’s Inspirations book, I decided to start a photography business. I did everything and anything. I photographed weddings, events, families, children, babies, newborns, etc. , but my favorite was always newborns. After attending various workshops, I now specialize in maternity and newborn photography.

My goal is to capture the precious moments from your bump to your baby, while making you look and feel your very best. I offer excellent customer service, and high quality products. My beautiful cedar studio is located on a gorgeous acreage on the Northeast side of Edmonton. It is perfect for in door and out door photo sessions, but I can also come to you!
