Edmonton Committee For A Parliament Of The World'S Religions - Ecpwr

ECPWR is a group that is working to bring Parliament of the World's Religions- related events to Edmonton, as Edmonton is a prestigious PWR Partner City.

ECPWR is a subcommittee of the Edmonton Interfaith Centre for Education and Action is working to become a registered organization unto itself.

Edmonton is proud to be a “partner city” with the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions together with:
Chicago, Illinois;
Cape Town, South Africa;
Barcelona, Spain;
Melbourne, Australia.

Each partner city has:
-an interreligious dialogue group of 15 or more members representing 6 or more different traditions
-active support of government and civic leaders, as well as representatives of guiding institutions
-tangible initiatives, or plans for initiatives, which support and foster interreligious dialogue and social cohesion
-a forum to hold regular meetings that address significant issues of dialogue and social harmony which affect the community and are consistent with the mission of the Council.
