It is imperative that puppies meet as many people, dogs and things as possible during this early stage of their lives, along with learning bite inhibition. In this 6-week training class, puppies spend some of the hour off-leash as they learn proper interactions and become well-socialized. The class also covers basic commands, including: sit, down, come, stay, and watch, as well as leash walking.
Puppies must have 2 sets of vaccinations and be between 3-6 months of age by class start.
If you adopted your dog from the Edmonton Humane Society within the last three months, you receive a 10% discount on 6-week group training classes!

When the pet parents are away, what do the doggos 🐶 do?
This video is just a glimpse of the fun our EHS Doggie Daycare pups have during the day!
We currently have openings available for new dogs at our daycare. Plus, when you bring your dog to daycare here at EHS you're also supporting the thousands of animals in need that come to our shelter each year. Find out more at http://bit.ly/EHSDoggieDaycare

This 4 week class helps you and your dog build reliable recall and loose leash walking skills. It seems like such a simple thing but both us and our dogs can get in some bad habits that are hard to break. This course is designed to help maximize your training time by combining two skills every dog (and owner!) needs.
Dogs must be at least 4 months old to attend this class.
If you adopted your dog from the Edmonton Humane Society within the last three months, you receive a 10% discount on 4-week group training classes! Please email askthespecialist@edmontonhumanesocie ty.com to receive the code.

Start you and your puppy off on the right paw with our single date Puppy Pop-In. They will get a chance to meet different puppies and people each time! We also will introduce different objects, environments, sounds, and much more. All the while we’ll add some valuable habits, practices, and commands.
Good socialization isn’t just about quantity – the quality of interactions is just as important! Our skilled trainers will work with you and your puppy’s needs to ensure they have the best experience possible each time they come to class.
*Puppies must have 2 sets of vaccinations and must be between 2-6 months of age.

Look at Nugget now 🐱 ! This tiny kitten came to us just over a year ago, and has since grown into a very handsome cat!
In celebration of their first adopt-i-versary, Nugget's family sent us this update: "This is the former Ginger Beef, one year later. Happy and healthy. He is Nugget now, and we love our little Nugget."

This 6 week class deals with dogs from “a little shy” to “overwhelmed.” You will learn how to help fearful dogs to be more confident and start to face their fears using gentle and humane methods. This class will focus primarily on most common fears – strangers, other dogs, loud noises, and new things, but can be tailored to fit the classes’ needs.
First class will be full of important behavioural information, no dogs!
Dogs must be 4 months and older by class start. This class... is not for reactive dogs.
If you adopted your dog from the Edmonton Humane Society within the last three months, you receive a 10% discount on 6-week group training classes! Please email askthespecialist@edmontonhumanesocie ty.com to receive the code.
