Rappie Pie is a traditional Acadian Dish made from grated potatoes. It is a familiar meal shared by the Acadians of Southwest Nova Scotia. Potatoes are grated, starch /water is removed, hot broth made from either chicken or beef is then added, along with the meat, onions & pork fat. This all mixed together is baked up & makes a delicious delightful dish. Some prefer it with a taste of butter & salt and peeper. Others like it with molasses, And some. . . . ketchup. In our home we like to fry it the next day and serve it with carrot slaw or chow chow. And. . . yes. . . with Ketchup
