GroundEffect provides a heliport design and consulting service assisting hospitals, health authorities, private and commercial operations, helicopter operators, airport commissions, and municipalities with the requirements for heliports. The construction of a heliport is simple enough; however there are specific criteria which the design must adhere to in order to meet Transport Canada standards.

We are experts in these standards and have been able to provide the most cost-effective design with the optimum conditions for helicopter service.

We have an excellent relationship with Transport Canada and they are very familiar with our heliport work. Services also include the preparation of Heliport Operations Manuals, Corrective Action Plans and Heliport Manager orientation. Some of our heliport designs have required creative ideas in order to meet obstacle limitations and clearances at the site. Over 100 heliport projects have been successfully completed.
