We went to Heritage Ranch for a date night last night. It was an amazing experience. When we got there we were taken out for our horse drawn carriage ride and the driver was friendly and funny and immediately put us at ease. She was fantastic. We went on a ride through the trails and trees and it was so beautiful and peaceful. We came around the bend and there were ducks on the water and deer! It could not have been better. Once we got back we went inside for dinner and we had a cozy little corner table where we were served a 5 course meal complete with a bottle of wine and chocolates and a rose. I think the beet salad was my favourite course. It was delicious. Also, the chocolate mousse was amazing. My husband had the duck which he loved. My steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Although I can't see us doing the date night too often (if we could afford it I would love to though!) we are definitely going to put Westlake Grill on the list of restaurants we will be visiting again soon!! It really was the perfect evening. Highly recommended.

Was amazed at the excellence of food and servers, so glad we came here for New Years, thank you to all the staff who obviously worked so very hard to make this a fantastic evening. I dont usually review unless its really bad or exceptionally good..this was the latter :) Thanks guys and Happy New Year. the Arkinstalls.

This place is absolutely amazing! My boyfriend won a sleigh ride and dinner here on a Facebook contest. And the staff are so friendly, and the ranch is beautiful. The food is absolutely delicious!!! Definitely a date night to remember �

My husband booked the Winter Night Lights Date Night for us. We had been due to go last week when the weather was -35°c or so....ouch! We called to ask if we could postpone to this week as we knew the forecast was calling for warmer temperatures. The member of staff, Samantha, was extremely understanding and helpful. Thankfully they were able to accommodate our request.

So, last night was our date and it couldn’t have been more magical! Initially I worried that the sleigh driver would want to chat with us during our ‘romantic, for 2’ rode, but after introducing himself and the horses he was almost invisible. The ride was beautiful, so many gorgeous lights, and all warm and cosy with blankets and a hot chocolate.

After the ride we were seated at our table for 2 by the fire in a cosy, romantically lit, small-ish room. There were other couples, but the layout of the room, the lighting and music made it feel like we were almost alone!

The table was set and also had a box of Lindt chocolates and a beautiful red rose waiting for us/me.

The 5 course meal was delicious! The waitress was amazing. She made us feel cared for, yet she didn’t impose on our alone time. Such a sweetheart!

All in all this was a beautiful treat that exceeded our expectations! Thank you Heritage Ranch.

Mariia was a proficient server and knew exactly what we would like. Ali whom I believe is the manager made sure we had everything we needed. We were well taken care of. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. We hope to come back and try your delicious brunch menu. Cheers.

I am giving a 5-star rating for the actual experience it was truly amazing!! My only criticism to the whole thing was the actual connecting with someone and setting up the date night. I, like another commenter above had great difficulty contacting and booking the experience.

Cross county skied with my dog from Bower Ponds. Trail is great. Nice skiing through the spruce. Didn't feel like you were in the city at all!

Beautiful place. Great for spartan races. Could do without the horse shit, though.

Another great romantic dinner with my hubby! Thanks again for giving me my favourite dessert! You guys rock!

Amazing! My husband and I have done the wild boar hunt & sleigh ride packages. AMAZING food! AMAZING service! The waitress at our wild boar hunt seemed uninterested in our group. We kept trying to get cocktails but the bartenders said we had to ask the waitress and the waitress never came back... However when we went for a date night package the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! We felt so welcomed and it was just the best experience! We are going to the Murder Mystery as well and I am extremely excited to see what they have in store for us!!!

A unique Dining experience. Food choice and quality were excellent on our Date Night; of course the Sleigh ride was beautiful to start with.

Went to Westlake Grill last night for a much needed date night. I've read good and bad reviews regarding the food and wanted to make my own opinion rather than take the word of others. Our server recommended the lobster potato skins which were fantastic, when I had decided on the tequila lime chicken, I was assured this was a good choice, after two bites it was clear the chicken tasted freezer burnt, I had my bf try is as well and he confirmed it was not good. I let our server know and She then gave us dessert to make up for it, which was a nice attempt, altho I had barely touched my meal so wasn't really hungry for dessert. My bf had the tenderloin which was okay but not very tender and we had both expected a much better dining experience for the price. The atmosphere is excellent, it's a great place to go and checkout, however I'm not sure we would go again due to the poor quality of the food. I was disappointed to finally have a night out at a nice restaurant and leaving there hungry after spending a lot of money on food that wasn't edible.

My boyfriend booked a date night for Valentine's Day online, but when he called to confirm they said it was moved to the next day(thanks for the notice but no big deal). Then we got there things were great, got looked after, had hot chocolate and waited by the fire. Met our horses and got all geared up and ready to take off. I was very disappointed that it was private property, we had some girl with kids yelling at us asking how much the ride cost and saying it was a waste of money. Obviously he didn't want to say anything because I wasn't supposed to know price but she pretty much walked beside the horses and us until he told her. Also quite a few people walking their dogs on the property so it didn't seem as quiet and romantic as it could've been. Other then that, food was fantastic, a super different experience, servers were great, although I don't like the already added tip. We just paid 500 and some dollars to do all this and for some reason they get a 12% tip before we even find out if we get good service. Was very pricey and I don't know if I'd go back again, hard to decide if the price was justifiable. Would potentially go back just for the steak and dessert.

I wrote a 3 star review for a few specific Reasons.



I spent a few weeks planning a birthday for my mother, and I was attempting to iron out some details, in order to do that, I needed to speak to the Manger of Heritage Ranch, I called in 3 times to request a call back from the manager, and never received one, I inquired 3 times via Facebook Messenger, they stated they would forward my message, and I never got a call back.



After giving up, I went ahead with a Carriage ride / Dinner package for my parents, and they went.



They stated the food was excellent, The service was great, and the staff friendly, they were impressed with the 5 course meal, the bottle of wine and box of chocolates at their table, and they said the Carriage ride was nice and relaxing.



Their only criticism is they hoped for more scenery to look at during the 1 hour carriage ride.



The front desk staff were great and easy to work with, friendly service.



This easily could have been a 5 star review had I actually received a call back as per my 6 requests.

Beautiful area. love the horses on the grounds. Husband and I and young daughter had dinner yesterday for our wedding anniversary. Service was pretty good. It was fairly busy and loud. Our table was near entrance to patio which was not ideal for our daughter as cool weather and many ppl coming/going. Found the menu pages not easy to read through. Our daughters high chair strap wasn't usable when dinner was served. We felt most items on menu to be very over priced. Atmosphere similar to a grill or pub but prices you would expect to see at fine dining restaurant. Although the food was good it wasn't amazing for the cost. We both enjoyed the special of ordering alcoholic beverage and receive first side of wings your choice of seasoning free. We feel that overall the food could be better and more attention to details to continue the prices they ask. Lastly our daughter loved visiting the play ground after!

Ate there for dinner tonight. It wasn't good. When paying $140 for a meal it should be at least edible. $42 for wild boar chops that were burnt to a crisp and couldn't even get a knife through it. Veggies were so undercooked we couldn't eat either.

Sure, they offered us free dessert - in lieu of money off the bill (which we only knew once they brought the full priced bill) - we declined just really wanting to leave. Can't say were that excited about dessert (even if it was free) after the meal we had.

Won't be back. So disappointing and the fact they had the nerve to bring us our bill with no money credited for a meal we couldn't eat was awful.

Night of mystery was the most amazing time !!!! I recommend it to anybody! I had such a great time I can’t emphasize enough how fun this was!!

A unique Dining experience. Food choice and quality were excellent on our Date Night; of course the Sleigh ride was beautiful to start with.

Went to Westlake Grill last night for a much needed date night. I've read good and bad reviews regarding the food and wanted to make my own opinion rather than take the word of others. Our server recommended the lobster potato skins which were fantastic, when I had decided on the tequila lime chicken, I was assured this was a good choice, after two bites it was clear the chicken tasted freezer burnt, I had my bf try is as well and he confirmed it was not good. I let our server know and She then gave us dessert to make up for it, which was a nice attempt, altho I had barely touched my meal so wasn't really hungry for dessert. My bf had the tenderloin which was okay but not very tender and we had both expected a much better dining experience for the price. The atmosphere is excellent, it's a great place to go and checkout, however I'm not sure we would go again due to the poor quality of the food. I was disappointed to finally have a night out at a nice restaurant and leaving there hungry after spending a lot of money on food that wasn't edible.

My boyfriend booked a date night for Valentine's Day online, but when he called to confirm they said it was moved to the next day(thanks for the notice but no big deal). Then we got there things were great, got looked after, had hot chocolate and waited by the fire. Met our horses and got all geared up and ready to take off. I was very disappointed that it was private property, we had some girl with kids yelling at us asking how much the ride cost and saying it was a waste of money. Obviously he didn't want to say anything because I wasn't supposed to know price but she pretty much walked beside the horses and us until he told her. Also quite a few people walking their dogs on the property so it didn't seem as quiet and romantic as it could've been. Other then that, food was fantastic, a super different experience, servers were great, although I don't like the already added tip. We just paid 500 and some dollars to do all this and for some reason they get a 12% tip before we even find out if we get good service. Was very pricey and I don't know if I'd go back again, hard to decide if the price was justifiable. Would potentially go back just for the steak and dessert.

I wrote a 3 star review for a few specific Reasons.



I spent a few weeks planning a birthday for my mother, and I was attempting to iron out some details, in order to do that, I needed to speak to the Manger of Heritage Ranch, I called in 3 times to request a call back from the manager, and never received one, I inquired 3 times via Facebook Messenger, they stated they would forward my message, and I never got a call back.



After giving up, I went ahead with a Carriage ride / Dinner package for my parents, and they went.



They stated the food was excellent, The service was great, and the staff friendly, they were impressed with the 5 course meal, the bottle of wine and box of chocolates at their table, and they said the Carriage ride was nice and relaxing.



Their only criticism is they hoped for more scenery to look at during the 1 hour carriage ride.



The front desk staff were great and easy to work with, friendly service.



This easily could have been a 5 star review had I actually received a call back as per my 6 requests.

Beautiful area. love the horses on the grounds. Husband and I and young daughter had dinner yesterday for our wedding anniversary. Service was pretty good. It was fairly busy and loud. Our table was near entrance to patio which was not ideal for our daughter as cool weather and many ppl coming/going. Found the menu pages not easy to read through. Our daughters high chair strap wasn't usable when dinner was served. We felt most items on menu to be very over priced. Atmosphere similar to a grill or pub but prices you would expect to see at fine dining restaurant. Although the food was good it wasn't amazing for the cost. We both enjoyed the special of ordering alcoholic beverage and receive first side of wings your choice of seasoning free. We feel that overall the food could be better and more attention to details to continue the prices they ask. Lastly our daughter loved visiting the play ground after!

Ate there for dinner tonight. It wasn't good. When paying $140 for a meal it should be at least edible. $42 for wild boar chops that were burnt to a crisp and couldn't even get a knife through it. Veggies were so undercooked we couldn't eat either.

Sure, they offered us free dessert - in lieu of money off the bill (which we only knew once they brought the full priced bill) - we declined just really wanting to leave. Can't say were that excited about dessert (even if it was free) after the meal we had.

Won't be back. So disappointing and the fact they had the nerve to bring us our bill with no money credited for a meal we couldn't eat was awful.
