Highlands Community League

The Highlands Community League serves our members and promotes opportunity for friendly, social, active and educational interaction.

The Highlands Community League page is a place to share information about programs, activities, and events regarding or relating to the Highlands community. We thank you for understanding this page is not a personal forum and does not accept posts involving controversial topics, as their divisive nature is contrary to our community league purpose.

Things we love to see:
• Photos of the neighbourhood and events
• Highlands news
• Community events (including neighbouring community events! )
• Business and recreation events (please no price points or sales events)

Things to avoid:
• posts and comments of a harmful, inflammatory, or unsubstantiated nature
• promoting and advancing personal causes or agenda
• political or religious messages- positive or negative
• sharing private information or tagging other people in photos posted to the page—we respect the privacy of all residents (feel free to add yourself. You may share photos in private messages if you’d like to alert a friend).

While we respect everyone’s right to their personal opinion, we ask that you adhere to the spirit of the page; we are first and foremost a community page. Our guidelines work to ensure the page remains relevant and inclusive to members of the community.

Our page moderators (your neighbours, and volunteers) aim to review all comments and posts in a timely fashion, and will remove (or request an edit) at their discretion. We try to educate, rather than enforce, but you may not be contacted. Repeat offences will result in a warning. Continued posts or comments that don’t meet our guidelines will result in a ban from the page.
