Houston Pizza

HP gets just one star (our server was very good and kind)...the food however was very disappointing. We had Greek ribs and tried a $25 13" signature all dressed pizza. I've had pizza at hundreds of places all across north america and Europe...this was in the bottom 3. The crust had potential but unfortunately because of the layering of cheap watery lunch style meats and a very watery sauce it ended up a soggy mess. Layering sauce and seasonings (perhaps even cheese) throughout the layers may have helped). It appeared to have almost no sauce (will add pictures). The meat toppings were very basic lunch style meats (use a dry salami and splurge on a high end peperoni and sausage esp. for the price). Very disappointed and don't feel bad about the poor review especially since they are trying to get away with perhaps the most expensive pizza out there.

The Greek ribs were mediocre at best with very little seasoning or flavour. The veggies were over cooked and soft. The Ceasar salad was passable but unremarkable. Tomato sausage soup was good and there cocktails (Ceasar) were excellent.

Mediocre and overpriced pizza! You would think a place that specializes in pizza, particularly at what may be the most expensive of all pizza chain restaurants would turn out a better than average product. My wife and I never tried Houston Pizza so we were curious. We ordered a 13" 4 topping pizza for $40 (Forty dollars!!!) and when it arrived, it was decent around the edges but the crust was soggy and wet in the middle. Maybe it is just this location but we won't give Houston Pizza another try. Disappointing, especially for the price so don't waste your money there. Almost every pizza chain out there has a better product for way less money!

Expensive. 2.99 for a soft drink. That should speak for the rest of the menu. Good food however. Service a little slow

Mismanagement and bullying of staff.... Asked to speak to manager about an issue with an order. The manager was clearly not busy. She repeatedly refused to speak to us, a job that is clearly her roll and instead of supporting her servers she cowardly could not professionally speak to an unsatisfied customer and took it out on a minimum wage employee in a directive and unprofessional manner. Last time i spend a dime there. After a decade of watching good servers move to other establishments in town i won't support this abuse anymore. Owner needs to monitor management better and respect good staff. It will improve revenue if staff is respected and happy when dealing with customers. I have now seen 2 servers crying at work.... Why and how is it allowed to continue.

My mouth always starts to water when we get close to the Hat on our road trips to Sask. because we order takeout pizza for the road passing thru. It has always been the best. I can not see why there is complaints for this deliciousness! Vegans need to stay home and eat thier rabbit food, and the cheapskates should go buy frozen no name pizzas for $4.99 and stay at home too!

Always good food and prompt service. The servers here have always been very nice. That's why I always come back.

Not great. Overpriced for mteoker food! Not to mention the service. Ate here a lot with more below average service and food. I'd pass but at late hour choice are bad and worse.

Food was very tasty, but I would never pay for the pizzas there - $50 for a 15inch pizza? I'm from Cape Breton and you can get 2xl pizzas a large cheese bread a 2l pop and 2donair sauces for $30 at fatboys golden crust(note that an xl pizza is 30inches there)...

I would give a zero rating. They are not accommodating to individuals with diet restrictions. My family will ABSOLUTELY NOT be back. This is terrible customer service.

A tuesday lunch, mom & 2 children. Steak sandwich was good but not as rare as I like it. In my opinion, this was more of a medium rare than rare. The vegetables was a frozen medley, and as such, was tasteless. Fries were warm, not hot, so they cooled down quickly. Caesar salad was quite plain, lettuce, dressing, fresh parmesan, a few croutons, no bacon - pretty sure the dressing was a bottle, not fresh, though it was passable. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. Asked for water, no ice. Got ice. Again - we were the only patrons... Pepperoni pizza was good. All in all, I felt it was too pricey for what was served, and the service.

Well, if I could rate this any lower I would. My family of 5, 3 kids hubby and myself went to the medicine hat location tonight for supper.. was not impressed at all.. had to ask for crayons for the younger kids.. then we ordered our food. I requested a 6 oz Pattie instead of a 4 oz patty, was told that she wasn't sure if the kitchen was able to do that.. ok fine then why is the burger next on the menu a 6 oz patty? My hubs ordered a steak sandwich which was 7 oz . He requested a upgrade to 10 oz.. ok we will have to charge u.. that's fine.. we wait for our food.. once our food came I couldn't even eat mine as it was so salty that I became way to thirsty after just 5 bites.. our eldest sons pasta was so salty he couldn't even eat it.. oya and my 6 oz patty was actually a 4 cuz they couldn't do it.. my hubs steak 16.99 for a 7 oz and 25.99 for a 10 oz steak?? It wasn't even a 10 oz steak.. was like a 7 if that.. was soo not impressed will never go back again..

Absolutely stunning dry ribs and salad. My daughter enjoyed her sovulaki with Greek salad as well. Nice service.

If i could rate lower I would. Worst salad I've ever had in my life. The only thing that I could eat as a vegan was fries. The food is ridiculously meciocre. The lettuce was wilted and had rotting pieces, the garlic bread was stale and the spaghetti was flavorless.
