Definitely horrible customer service experience with “manager” Eric. Tried to return the shoes I purchased two days ago, as the left shoe was so uncomfortable that my foot was bleeding. The manager was like and I quote: “don’t narrow your eyes. What made you think we manufactured these shoes? “ Not sure how this guy was promoted to the manager role but clearly there’s a reason why the bay is gradually going out of business.

I stopped by The Bay in West Edmonton Mall yesterday to see what they had to offer for shoes. Maurice in their shoe department provided me with exceptionally great service! Hands down the best service I have ever had in a shoe purchase! I had intended to look for a single pair of shoes, but instead purchased two pairs and a pair of insoles. I left feeling very confident about my purchases. If you are looking for a pair of shoes, I highly recommend that you go see Maurice!

Good enough selection, the racks need to be organized. My biggest reason for a 1 star? I found some clothes I wanted to try on... WOW what a pain in the butt, wonder around looking for the fitting rooms manage to find a door to the and it's locked. No one is around to open the door not even a "ring for service" button. The only people nearby are cashier's (2) and the are both 3 people deep waiting in line and I'm not going to be the guy who cuts in line nor do I want to wait in line just for someone to allow me to try on clothes. I gave up put my stuff back and on the way out asked an associate (who was doing his best to not look at me as I walked by) why the doors are locked his reply? "Well you just have to ask one of those Ladies , and they'll unlock it". Me: so I just ask them to stop what they are doing and leave the cashier's desk? Him: yes. Well no thanks The Bay just don't wonder why you end up being the next Sears or Zellers

Lack of staff to help. Only person who acknowledges anyone was the young lady in the toy department who said hello to everyone. I had staff walk by me and not even smile. Went into shoes, beauty and luggage. Music was turned up too loud. Didn't even bother acknowledging people waiting

I took a trip to Edmonton with my girlfriend on the weekend but I needed to buy some groceries. The only place that was close to my hotel was The Bay. As soon as I entered the store the smell of mustard hit me hard. I thought at first I was having a stroke because I am a 39 year old man, but then I asked my girlfriend and she smelled it too. We thought it was odd but we kept on shopping. While we were looking around we kept on hearing what sounded like high pitch laughing and things scurrying around. At first I thought it was nothing but mice but then I caught a glimpse of something green bolt around a corner. At this point I was actually freaking out. It was only me and my girlfriend in the store at this point. My girlfriend started to cry so I said we should hide in the bathroom. We looked around for the bathroom and found it in a dark corner at the end of the store. We entered and then I saw it. What looked like around 25 little green men completely naked doing something akin to breeding. They heard me step and all their small beady eyes pointed at me. I sprinted out of their and left the store. Later on in the hotel room I realized my girlfriend had been left behind! There is currently a missing persons case for her. Wedding registry staff is amazing! But the selection for your registry is not great at this location (mainly the kitchen area).

Limited stock and an old and run down feel about the place. Felt like it's just been run as-is since the 80's. Staff are friendly though.
