Intimate Portraits

From a session I shot a few weeks back, with an avid reader. Sammy Hebb was a pleasure to work with and agreed to let me post some pics. Thanks to Trin Wright-Griggs for helping out!

I attended a collaboration this past weekend, organized by the great Lee Ellis. All proceeds and donations from this event were collected for a local emergency shelter. I didn't shoot much and assisted lots. Here are a few shots I did manage to capture of the beautiful Chanel Lee. Looking forward to the next event.

As promised, here is a beautiful Phaedra Nyx. She came by last Monday night for a session that we have been discussing off and on for over a year. The stars finally aligned and we were able to capture some fantastic shots.

Here is a throwback to a workshop I attended with Steve Richard. His Light, Language, Line course (www.lightlanguageline.com) is intense and highly recommended for any photographer. A couple days with Steve will leave you thinking in a different way. You look at things with a different perspective, and a workflow that make sense. This approach is great for creating a fantastic image, but doesn't lend itself well to mass producing shots. I have attended 2 with him so far, and I am sure there is another weekend in the future.
If anyone is interested in creating a great image, and has an afternoon or evening free, let me know. I would love to shoot some more of this fine art style.

This is a personal project, capturing beauty in pieces. I have cursed myself to bad luck, with more than a dozen broken mirrors so far. If you are interested in contributing your body to this concept, drop me a line and we will make it happen.

With the break I took over the past many months, I did a major purge of old images, reviewed where I started and looked at where I have improved. There is still a lot of work to be done, but I am going to re-dedicate my focus to this art and keep learning.
I found some images that were cast away during the initial culling that spoke to me. I will be posting some of these older images, as they are edited, over the next few days.

Before we dove into the wax last weekend, we took a little stroll through nature and captured a few shots. Samalama Bangbang Professional Model is so fun to work with, I can't wait for our next session!

Even though the original plan didn't quite come together, we still managed to come up with this. We are going to revisit the concept we planned on, after a little more R&D. Enjoy the beautiful and patient Samalama Bangbang Professional Model.

Over $40 in candles for the session this afternoon with the wonderful Samantha Robinson. I really hope the end result works like I have envisioned it. Stay tuned to find out.

Last weekend I had a last minute cancellation and Samantha Louise Robinson Professional Model stepped up to the plate on short notice. With nothing scripted, we just flew by the seat of our pants... well, at least I did.

First session of the new year with Rose Chantal. Here is a little teaser from our session this afternoon.

Stepped in last minute for Dave when another model let him down and it's fortunate for me she did. He has a fantastic space, hundreds of different and experimental shoot ideas, understands and appreciates the difference between fine art and nudes, but most importantly I never felt uncomfortable or under any expectation. If you can make the trip to High River, I would highly recommend doing so for a shoot with Dave.
