Russian park to be opened in Amman to mark anniversary of diplomatic relations.
MOSCOW, August 21. A Russian park will be opened in Jordan’s capital city Amman to mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Jordanian Ambassador to Russia Amjad Odeh Adaileh said in an interview with TASS timed to the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Jordan.

Canada has provided military aid and training to Jordan’s defence forces. It has provided aid to Jordanians citizens. Canadian special forces have trained with Jordanian troops. The project will contribute to the security and stability of Jordan by allowing the Jordanian Armed Forces to better respond to threats along the border, according to the Department of National Defence. The six-part supernatural drama, which was announced earlier this year, follows a group of Arab teenagers as their friendships and budding romances are tested when they unknowingly invite the supernatural forces of Jinn into their world. It is being filmed in Petra, Wadi Rum as well as a dozen locations in the Jordanian capital of Amman, over 10 weeks with a team of Jordanian crew. Jinn is expected to launch on Netflix around the world in 2019.

Jordan recently received another publicity boost after Britain's Prince William visited the kingdom last month. His wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, spent three years living in Jordan as a child while her father was based in the capital, Amman, working for British Airways. Prince William, with Jordan's own Crown Prince Hussein acting as guide, visited the ruins in Jerash, where Kate was famously photographed during her time living in the country.
