The Madeleine Sanam Foundation's work is unique; we address the cultural barriers to HIV prevention, because cultural beliefs and values play a role in HIV transmission. We address social factors such as poverty, and how to reduce them.

The Foundation has continuously developed and delivered culturally sensitive HIV /AIDS training programs to promote discussion, increase sexual health awareness, and provide training tools for participants to become peer educators within their communities. Our program is providing a social service by integrating immigrant and refugee women into the Canadian society by empowering women to be independent economically and men to adopt safe sex practices
