Lasik Md

I was pretty nervous for my preop but the eye care professional was able to answer all my questions confidently and left me feeing excited for surgery! I had to come back for a dilated exam and saw the optometrist who was super informative and helpful with all my questions. I am moving across the country soon and since lasik is present in every province, ill always be able to follow up with them for my exams every 2 years, no matter where in Canada I end up. Two thumbs up!

I went in for my appointment today. Ready to pay over $8000 for both me and my husband. CASH!
I was told during a phone call that my Accutane prescription didn't matter. So, after waiting excitedly for my appointment day to arrive I am told I am not having my surgery.
I am told I have to stop taking my prescription for 1 month before I can have the surgery. I cried and started hyperventilating and having a panic attack in their office.
All I get is an inauthentic apology and attempts to finish my exams even though I kept saying I couldn't stay, I couldn't handle being there while barely being able to speak.
They said they would find out who said this to me, like somehow it matters. That does literally nothing for me. You'll have to explain why I should care who said it, or is that person paying for contacts or glasses for me, or paying for part of my surgery? No? Nothing? No 'Sorry this happened,
here's a .001% discount!' right? Didn't think so, cause you don't care.
Now I am stuck being miserable for another month.
If I could go somewhere else, I would. I am so depressed I can't write the thoughts that went through/are going through my head.
I am not a sad or negative person, but I don't know how you expect me to deal with this for a month without any care from you guys at all. There is no real human emotion from you people, and I can't believe I am so desperate to see that I will be giving you my money.
Cash, not some ridiculous finance.
I KNOW you'll sleep good tonight knowing that my head hurts and I am sick because of this. Enjoy. I guess I will see you in a month.
Edit: My appointment was cancelled just before, again. I was lied to again, and I was told to come back after getting upset.
I went with a different place in the city, and they couldn't have treated me better.

Tremendous service from the team at this clinic, including Mavis, Ashley, Liberty, Danica, and Dr. Riyaz. Every policy and recommendation was explained and re-explained , the patient lounge was well stocked, and the people who were looking after me made sure I was feeling well throughout the process. Had surgery to both eyes successfully without any deviation from what I was told to expect, minimal discomfort immediately after surgery and next day nearly feeling 100%. Would certainly recommend.

I had laser eye surgery at LASIK MD a few weeks ago, and it is the best decision I have ever made! I was very impressed with how kind and knowledgeable the staff are, and was given detailed information on what to expect during and after surgery. My surgeon, Dr.Riyaz, was very calming and reassuring which put my nerves at ease, and thoroughly answered any questions I had. I was back to work in two days and able to get back to my normal routine. All in all my experience with LASIK MD was amazing and I would definitely recommend it!!!!

Fairly professional establishment until it comes to looking after their work. After almost failing my class 1 medical due to eyesight I inquired about a touch up.
Booked a day off work as I am not from Edmonton and went for a consultation. I was told I needed a follow up to confirm everything. Booked another day off work and came in for another consultation. It turns out my eyes have changed since the last appointment so I was asked to come in one more time.
At this point I am feeling fine with their decision as I would like them to be 100% with the next surgery, but a little concerned why these actions aren't taken with the initial surgery. Had to take one more day off for a final consultation. They then note that I have 20/20 vision. Going through the eye exam I asked if I were to get glasses what my prescription would be. -1.75 and -1.50!!!!! At this point I'm boggled on what 20/20 means and starting to agree with my physician why I shouldn't be driving.
At this point they tell me the warranty is void due to a couple missed follow up appointments. I would have definitely appreciated this information before several days off and a six month run-around. I could have used my lost wages for the glasses I now need.
All in all a very poorly managed company and I've never been in such a disorganized situation. Very disappointed with the outcome and regret ever giving them a positive reference!!!!

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. It was an amazing experience. The staff there are very professional. The process is so quick, but not so quick that you don't feel like your concerns are being addressed or like you are just a number. I had a very quick recovery with 0 complications, the discomfort was gone 5hrs post surgery and vision was perfect moments after the surgery. I would recommend LASIK MD in City Centre to EVERYONE!!!

LASIK MD and its staff were courteous, efficient and professional. I was deemed a candidate for the advanced custom wavefront procedure at my pre-operative appointment. Dr. Dorey gave me an overview of the procedure and was both calm and reassuring during surgery. The most important thing for me is that I experienced no discomfort after surgery. The next day, I found out that I could see better than 20/20. For the first time in years I don't have to wear glasses anymore due to improved vision and I am so happy. I would recommend LASIK MD 100% to all my friends and family.

I got my eyes done by this clinic, and I paid for the best warranty, and surgery. The procedure went well, and I have not had any problems, but when I called 4 years later, still having warranty, they refused to cover my warranty. On the paper they gave me, they expected me to come in after 3 months, 6 months and a year. They made NO EFFORT to call me and remind me. They said that's my responsibility not theirs. I have never had a medical professional not call you and remind you about your medical checkups. This company takes your money for the best warranty, and screws you over at the end of the day. DO NOT GO TO THEM! Find another company that will honor what you pay for!!!
