Amanda Twidale was diagnosed with cervical cancer just six weeks after the delivery of her first child. Thanks to donors, the da Vinci robot was available at our hospital for her surgery. The robotic surgery meant less pain, less bleeding and a shorter recovery time.
Amanda decided to have a second child and just nineteen weeks into her pregnancy was admitted to the Lois Hole Hospital for Women on bedrest. Having to spend the remainder of her pregnancy hours away from her family in Cold Lake, Amanda learned to celebrate each day as a success for her and her baby.

The Lois Hole Hospital Women's Society celebrated their one year anniversary on Monday!
We are so grateful for this group of strong and inspiring women working to improve healthcare in our city. Thanks to the members, founding members, business partners, and several major gifts the group has raised well over $200,000 and are quickly approaching their first goal of funding the state-of-the-art Firefly technology!

Women in menopause often experience a complex mix of health issues, so the kind of one-size-fits-all approach that might be taken to their care can leave them feeling frustrated and alone. With this in mind, the team at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women’s menopause clinic embarked on a study of nearly 200 patients, to fill a research gap in patients’ issues and subsequent treatment at interdisciplinary clinics like theirs.
