About Macewan University Accounting Club
Our goal is to increase the student experience and ease the transition from student to professional for those pursuing a career in accounting. We plan on doing this with a focus on peer based support and by promoting academic and community participation.

Get to Work Career Fair is coming up on Wednesday, February 13th! In an effort to prepare students for the event there is a Resume and Cover Letter Review session on February 11th and LinkedIn Reviews and FREE professional headshots session on February 12th from 11a.m. – 1p.m at the Welcome Centre.
Employers from various organizations such as Deloitte, Government of Canada, Careers for Community and etc will be on campus to review students’ resumes and LinkedIn profiles.

The Annual CPA Bowl-A-Rama is fast approaching on January 29th and will be held in the South Edmonton Rec Room. Students will have a chance to bowl and network with local CPAs and ask them any questions or just hear the professionals' stories of their journey to obtaining a CPA.

The Youth Restorative Action Project (YRAP) is looking for a treasurer for the 2019 board of directors.
The responsibilities of this volunteer opportunity include: overseeing the financial matters for the organization, payroll, liaising with staff responsible for financial managements, ensuring the financial components of information and charity returns are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in YRAP's goals and vision..., who is organized, thorough, diligent, and hard working.
Experience with payroll, managing financials, accounting and CRA policies is an asset, although not a requirement.
The position is for a one year term, from January to December 2019, with the opportunity for an extension. Time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per month.
