In an effort to offer women at the Central Alberta Women's Emergency Shelter a happier Christmas, I sent the following email to some of my business associates. To date, I have collected 25 Satin Hands Sets however my goal is 40. If this is something that may be of interest to you to become involved, please PM me. Together we can make a difference.
Merry Christmas! It is that time of year when the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is upon us. For so many peop...le, it is a joyous occasion. However for many women who are in the throes of domestic violence, it can be a very frightening and lonely time. For those of you who know me well, you know my passion for the Central Alberta Women's Emergency Shelter. As a volunteer, I see the damage that domestic violence does to these women. No women deserves to go through this situation.
I would like to make a difference this Christmas for the women at the Shelter. Usually at Christmas there are approximately 40 women who use the shelter's services. This year, Greg and I have decided to donate 4 beautiful Mary Kay Satin Hands sets to the shelter. This is a 3 piece hand care set that the clients at the shelter absolutely love. I am looking for 9 other individuals who would be interested in helping us achieve our goal of having a Satin Hands set for each of the 40 women. The sets are valued at $51 each. I am asking if you would make a donation to purchase 4 sets for $100. I would cover the taxes and would look after getting these gifts to the shelter. I would also ask that you would provide 5 business cards. One for me and one to put in each of the bags. If you are not able to take part, please just reply with a "No Thanks". I know that this time of year we are all inundated with requests to assist others.
