Math Africa is a non-profit group that aims to promote math and science education across Africa through enabling African students. We are pursuing this goal in Canadian universities by partnering with organizations such as the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) by events raising funds and awareness. As our main fundraising recipient, AIMS forwards this goal through its 6 success centers across Africa and its 3 pillar programs- the Master's, public engagement, and research pillars. Respectively, these programs cover all costs to students in a one-year Master's program in mathematical sciences; providing education to math teachers in rural communities so that their students have the chance to pursue higher education and develop their country; and to sponsor researchers whose mathematical and scientific research is conducive to the improvement of these fields in Africa.
