I've represent myself thought I was METIS for 65 yrs. with false promises from government and industrial had. Waste our lands in a way of lost traditional life style . We lost billions of dollars money in minerals being taken out of each corner of ALBERTA with divided and conquer! It's time revise ,review, all of loses of revenue in oil gas electricity! All must work as team to restart ! We need compensation write from the get go .! We must have own aboriginal PM !

I've regained my treaty status last few years ago after 65 years of waiting for Metis land setting and never got out it ! Now being First Nation on Rez. Still no sort of agreement to be used

By a band

Members with no land entitlement, they don't own land they don't own homes , !

So all the way we been FOOOLED !

go joint hands pull as team !

Thank you

I work for CARSON POW-R-VAC Ltd which performs HVAC/furnace cleaning in ALBERTA CANADA.

It strikes me how thoughtful the METIS NATION OF ALTA site managers are. They are busy & yet they take time to give our estimators info on the needs of their managed bldgs (ie energy optimization & reduction of sickness/absenteeism by promoting a healthier indoor environment).

I also admire the different cultures which are highlighted here on FB! KUDOS! All the best MARK OF cpvDOTca

I love the look of the page and the information here. I am very excited to have this added to my fb

Always been a proud member, pretty obvious with last name. Good experiences through the years, 20 years now. Opportunity and a feeling of community with what appears to be a lost race. It is rare that I meet another Metis with the limited communication in the past. happy to see this site where members can communicate with the Metis Nation and each other. Spent years feeling like an outcast, and received a chance to Identify with the culture, and a chance to succeed in life. Thank you. Sincerely, Romain.

That the official policy of the MNC should be to reclaim the Metis homeland by building new Metis settlements in the Kibbutz model. We established most of the communities in Western Canada over a century ago so there's no reason why we can't do that today. We stopped growing as a people when we stopped building new communities. Road allowance people. Any deal with the Federal Government will mean nothing with out fulfilling the terms of the deal Riel struck with McDonald. That was a good deal then and its a good deal now! I challenge the MNC to sponsor the first Metis Kibbutz, and I recommend that upwards of 20 new settlements be established in the Parkland region of Manitoba. Manitoba, Riel's legacy, has only settled 10% of its land (of over 135 million acres) land since 1870. Today over 90% of Manitoba is crown land. The feds can easily give each Red River Census Metis 160 acres of land today, with out having it cost the tax payer a penny!

I was at the event at the Edmonton Inn on May 26, 2018; yesterday. Though there are positive aspects there are some very negative aspects which have changed my opinions of the Metis Nation in Alberta. Participation is only welcomed if the person participating is part of the current MNA pecking order and anyone who has anything to say is not considered unless others who don't have opinions like what is said.

Hello candidates running for provincial president and vice, post something! I can't even attempt to go cast a ballot if I don't know why YOU want to be voted in!! I cannot believe how quiet you candidates are!

You want your people to vote for you and your people don't even know anything about you.

Am I voting on blind faith....?

First form of any communication with the members in years..Too little to late for me.
