About me:

My name is Tara-Jean Thiessen and I am a Registered Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) serving Grande Prairie and surrounding area.

My passion for breastfeeding started early on in my nursing career. Since obtaining my BScN in 2005, I have worked in Post-Partum, NICU, Public Health, and a Breastfeeding Clinic. My work has continually focused on caring for infants and their families. The most fulfilling part of my career has always been teaching and helping with breastfeeding.

My passion for breastfeeding has only become stronger since having and breastfeeding my own children. I wanted to be able to provide more support to other families in my community, so I became a Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

Breastfeeding is very personal and does not look the same for everyone. My goal is to help you reach your breastfeeding goals, whatever that looks like for you and your family.
