The Montrose Community League Facebook page serves to create awareness and update Facebook users of event, activities and the general goings-on in and around the community.

Please keep all comments community relevant. Please do NOT tag people in photos. We wish to ensure the privacy of our Montrose residents wherever possible.

Any post deemed offensive or not applicable to the community may be hidden or deleted as per the discretion of Montrose Community League’s communications director. If need be, the person who made the post will receive a notification that their comment has been hidden /deleted.

If the user has demonstrated a pattern of repeated offensive posting, the communications director then escalates the issue to the Montrose Community League president. Together they decide whether or not the user should be banned from the page. The individual could appeal the ban by contacting the community league.

If a comment is harmful in intent or is of a libelous nature, then the issue may be escalated to the point where that user’s community league membership may be affected or the comment is reported to the police.
