Netball Edmonton

Players of all ages and skill levels hit the netball court weekly during the fall and winter in downtown Edmonton. Sessions involve a light warmup and skills & drills session, followed by an hour of game time.

Netball Edmonton was established in 2015 thanks to the sport's successes in Calgary, Netball Alberta Representatives, Edmonton's ex-pat community and also to National & Provincial all-stars who wanted to bring the sport to our great City!

Netball Alberta is a not-for-profit sporting association with the Executive and current Leagues based in Calgary, but they are looking to facilitate netball activities and school clinics throughout the province.

Originally developed from an early version of Basketball by a Canadian-American sports coach and gaining a huge following in Commonwealth countries, Netball is played by over 20 million people in more than 80 countries. It has been recognised by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) since 1995, and fans and players have been pushing for this fast-paced, fun game to be played at the Olympic Games ever since.
