North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance, one of 11 Watershed Planning and Advisory Councils (WPACs) in Alberta, Canada. People working together for a healthy and functioning North Saskatchewan River watershed - today and tomorrow.

North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance Description

The NSWA is a non-profit society whose purpose is to protect and improve water quality and ecosystem functioning in the North Saskatchewan River watershed in Alberta.

NSWA is guided by a Board of Directors composed of representatives of member organizations from within the watershed. It is the designated Watershed Planning and Advisory Council (WPAC) for the North Saskatchewan River under the Government of Alberta's Water for Life Strategy.

Members agree that a holistic approach to watershed management is essential for social, environmental and economic well-being. Members work with each other to generate ideas, seek solutions, develop and implement projects, and advocate the goals and objectives of the organization within their community.
