Oikos Edmonton Description
We are the local chapter of an international non-governmental student-driven organization called oikos. oikos is a non-political, non-religious organization that provides a platform for encouraging discussions on sustainability within the spheres of management and economics.
We believe that the first step to ecological, economic, and social sustainability begins with changing the ways that we think and learn. When it comes to sustainability issues, we want students to be able to start conversations, contribute to discussions, and be a part of the solution.
Our activities are designed to help students turn their ideas into sustainable actions. We will organize events in order to enhance action competence among young leaders.
Our vision is to have an impact on the community at large by embedding socially responsible, and ecologically conscious perspectives in education, research, and life.
