Clean place. I was there just before they renovated the outside. Nice rooms, staff friendly as can be. The rooms are above a bar, but the two nights we stayed there you would never know it (and there was a great live band playing!).
I stayed there about a month ago, the place is definately old, but the rooms are nice and clean, the bar down is happening with graet live music on the weekends.
Definately a nice place will recommend to all, who work on a budget.
Yikes -- do not get sucked in like I did! This is a typical small town downtown hotel -- you know the kind -- rooms over a bar. The 4 out of 5 star ratings that appear on the internet for this hotel when you google it are grossly MISLEADING. You can't romanticize this hotel... unless you make your living as a lady of the night. I got sucked in by the great reviews of this hotel thinking it was a quaint and cozy small town inn... my guess is that the guy who owns it had to have planted those great reviews. He seemed super desperate for money and would not refund my reservation once I got there and realized how awful it was. I imagine that he makes more money this way than he does by people actually staying there.
VERY NICE PLACE, THE ROOM RENT IS CHEAP , AND THE ROOM AND ESP. THE HALLWAY WAS WELL MAINTAINED ANDS CLEAN , IF YOU GO DOWN TO THEIR BAR ITS GOOD MUSIC , I LIKE THE PLACE.
