Oteenow is excited to announce our next opportunity for training! Have you ever wanted to run Heavy Equipment? Dreamed about obtaining your Class 1 drivers? This training is for you! Please plan to attend one of our information session this Thursday September 20th. Times for info session will be at 10 AM, 11 AM & 1 PM at Oteenow, 13227 146 st. Please note the requirements needed to qualify for application, also note that your application does not guarantee a spot in the training. I advise all interested individuals to start application as soon as possible, deadline to apply is Thursday September 27, 2018, no applications will be considered after this date for this specific training! Good luck! Intake times are also listed on the poster, please note the times for intakes. No intakes on Fridays! No exceptions!

Career Employment Counsellor Lena Wildman celebrated her 5 year anniversary with Oteenow Employment & Training Society this year. We are thankful to have such a dedicated employee on our team and appreciate all the work she does to assist Oteenow to continue to move forward and all the great work she does with the people who come through the organization.

Congratulations to our August Employment Readiness Group on completing the 4 week program, we wish you continued luck in your future endeavors! Thank you to the elder for the prayer, the facilitators for the assitance with this group, Gingers Bannock House for the delicious meal, Emery Burningrass for the laughs and Don for sharing your story with the group. It was a great day to celebrate this group. Reminder that our office is closed Monday September 3rd, 2018 for Labour Day long weekend, we will be back in the office Tuesday September 4th to assist with your questions and intakes.

Oteenow was awsome the people were very freindly and were very helpful getting me what i needed, Adam White does his job very professionally and was very quick to get back to when i call him. Thank you Oteenow you guys were very helpful.

Oteenow has put me through school to become a professional cook, Thank you for providing the means for me to accompolish my goals and to be a trained and employed indigenous citizen of Alberta.

Oteenow Rocks! Thank you for the funding! Helping with my apprenticeship and allowing me to get back into the workforce after having my two babies! I greatly appreciate it! Moving up to better things!!

Just landed a great job up north thanks to oteenow and the stellar work of Ron Cyir who pushed hard for me to get back to work. I was just laid off and got this job during the same day. I appreciate all the support I was shown.

I was funded through Oteenow when I took graphic design. Just when I thought I couldn't get funded to go to school, my caseworker Mellissa was superb. She went out of her way to make my goals a reality. I am now a certified graphic designer thanks to her and Oteenow, I highly recommend them.

I Have To give My Respect to Oteenow All the Staff , Ron Cyr, For allowing myself to continue to job search in the hard economic times, and For there financial, administrative Expertise, They have Forwarded my resume numerous times, Scanned and sent my safety tickets to employers. I have recently became a employee at frt Mc Alcor to the hard work of Ron and his co-workers, they assisted myself covering the drug test and ppe. Huge Thank You to Oteenow, for your support!

Big Shout out too oteenow for funding me for my class 1 coarse i just passed my road test today � high five greatly appreciated!!!

As of today, I have finished my first week of trade school and that would not be the case if it wasn't for Oteenow. I have been going to them for years, and for good reason. I thank the lot of them current and previous.

I was fitted with the essential for tools, thanks to Ron.

I have to give my respect to Oteenow and all the Staff , For allowing myself to continue to job search in the hard economic times and helping me getting into the Heavy Equipment Operator course Huge Thank You to Oteenow, for your support!
