I have always had an eye for vehicle appearance. I started cleaning vehicles for friends of my family in 1989. In the summer of 1995 I was contracted by a local dealership to do all of their vehicles. With hard work I was able to make a profitable business out of the single bay operation. One year later I purchased “Detail Plus” in Leduc and again with hard work and dedication I doubled the sales of the business in the first year under my ownership.
In 1997 I renamed the company “The Car Cleaning Company” as my list of clients continued to grow so much in fact that I opened a second store in Edmonton in early 1999. However, in the fall of 1999, I decided to get out of the business and sold the store in Leduc that October and then sold the store in Edmonton in January of 2000.
In early 2001 a very large export company decided to complete all of their vehicle appearance and reconditioning in their own shop. I was hired and had their new endeavour fully operational in no time. Next, they sent me to BASF for Small Damage Repair in 2003 then to Canadian Dent in 2004 where I learned the art of Paint-less Dent Removal. In 2005 the company got involved with customizing vehicles and in September of that same year I left my job to pursue this new endeavour of upgrading vehicles on my own.
In October of 2005, “diver’sion by Ryan Sagert Inc. ” was created. I provided full mobile services to my clientele up until the summer of 2007 when I decided to open Leduc’s only performance and accessory store in the heart of down town Leduc and called it “diversion Performance”. I sold the store in the summer of 2015 and decided to get back to my roots of Automotive Refinishing.
