PUNJABI FOLK DANCE ACADEMY (PFDA)
The most popular and well established Folk Dance Academy is the creation of Mr. Gursewak Singh Sidhu, the world famous folk dancer & Choreographer , to promote and preserve the Punjabi Culture and Dance. He is Gold Medalist in the event of Individual Folk Dance Competition of World Level, organized by Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, Llangollen, N. Wales U. K. in July 2004 & July 2006. The other co-artist are talented and well- versed in their respective fields. They have successfully performed in various cultural programmes in Canada.
PFDA artists have the previlage of showing their talents in Heritage Festival Edmonton (Canada), Vaisakhi celebration in Alberta legislature and on various Punjabi cultural shows in Edmonton.
Main goal of Punjabi Folk dance Academy is to teach dance to new generation and keep them in touch with our cultural roots. PFDA organizes conferences , Seminars, Lectures and Workshops on major cultural issues. Leading Newspapers have published the valuable articles of its esteemed artists. It is determined and targeted to promote the status of PFDA to International Level.
