Refuge Mission Foundation

The Mission Hall is open from 5: 30pm to 8pm everyday, 365 days a year. This establishment located in Edmonton, Alberta offering meals, sandwiches, snacks and refreshments as well as a safe place to engage in Christian fellowship and care. This facility has been specifically designed to cater to the most vulnerable of the Inner City homeless or near homeless. The aim is to meet their immediate physical needs and provide the opportunity to hear the life changing message that Jesus Christ brings to the world and to our lives. We do this work because of our Love for Jesus and for others. We are Blessed! All staff, whether Christian leaders /workers, or volunteers are not paid. Without these giving hearts – we would not be able to serve and operate as we do. Each person has a reason for leading /serving, and this ranges from being the "Hands and Feet of Jesus" to just wanting to help people that are not as fortunate. Actually, some of the volunteers are even some of the ones that we were serving; now they are serving others. We are a Registered Charitable Foundation; however, we receive no direct financial support from either Government or Municipal agencies. In order to be self-supporting, we seek independent funding or donations for both our operational financial requirements and that of our worker /volunteer needs. We have made a deliberate choice to not seek Government or Municipal funding. This decision has given the Mission Foundation the ability to freely pray, preach, and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
