Rims of Steel Optiks (Division of Alberta Vision Centre Ltd. ) has been serving Medicine Hat for 35 years. Alberta Vision Centre Ltd. was established in 1975, in a downtown location till 1997. Alberta Vision moved to Ross Glen Business Park on Dunmore Road, in March, 1997. This new location and look was re-named Rims of Steel Optiks. Randy Neefs, the founder and owner of Rims of Steel Optiks, decided to expand their service by adding an eye testing facility (eyelogic refractions) and contact lens clinic. These added facilities gave the Medicine Hat public an opportunity to have refractions done quickly and efficiently (walk-in service).
