As an Agri-Coach based company, Roots to Shoots offers mulit-depth soil test that are benchmarked for future use and accuracy. With the soil test we can use this information to build a fertility program that fits your farms ability and budget. This is all built up to be a Strategic Crop Plan that takes the fertility program based off of a target yield, seed source information, appropriate seeding rates, moisture and soil background information.
Field Scouting is based off of what the grower is looking for. As much or as little, Roots to Shoots will build a scouting program that fits your operation needs. Tissue test can help you verify if a fertility program is working and if a product will likely give an appropriate response.
Variable rate seeding and spraying is being done today. Roots to Shoots can set up a variable rate program using Powerzones. With this the grower owns this image and after some "ground truthing" and testing we will have management zones to be loaded into your able seeding /spraying equipment. Easing into fewer appropriate zones can be more cost effective starting out. As your operation gets comfortable with the first step then you can look to the next step in creating more management zones.
Carbon Credits are out there still to collect each growing season. With the price of carbon going to $30 /tonne(from $15). Background information.
Chris Hartung grew up on a farm outside of Vulcan. Attaining his 2 year Plant and science diploma he went forward to completing is agricultural degree from the University of Lethbridge. With 4 years of contract Agricultural research programs through Hamman Ag Research, Chris was involved in planning, seeding, spraying, harvest and evaluating research trials. Finding out about Agri-Trend, and joining the largest group of Agricultural consultants, Roots to Shoots Ag Solutions was created with the support of over 200 agricultural professionals.
