Went on a weekday in early August when they indicated they were not particularly busy. Called ahead to ask if we needed reservations for lunch and we're told no. Very rural location. When we got there they were busy.

Three of us had the soup and sandwich special of the day. Paid $13 for a tiny salad with some lettuce, canned Mandarin segments, bottled salad dressing, and sliced almonds from a bag, and a sandwich made of two slices of bread, cream cheese and cucumber slices. Spectacularly boring, forgettable, and overpriced. We did sit outside on the lovely veranda but the horse flies were biting and they were ginormous. Inside, the tables were so close together it was difficult to get my mother's wheelchair to the washroom. We will not be returning.

Lovely and quiet retreat away from it all. Soups are amazing and several varieties of homemade pies are scrumptious. Went to camp for a week and loved listening to the songbirds in the morning and having a fire at night. Very relaxing and for an affordable cost. Hosts are friendly and accommodating. Will ABSOLUTELY be back if only for a piece of pie and tea! (and of course to camp when we get the time off)
