Yesterday marked 9 years since Gareth and I were married! I can’t tell you how cool it is to attend & document so many weddings with my husband. We almost always take something away from each wedding that gives us something to think about and apply to our marriage. • If I can offer you just one piece of advice - always always remember to play. To smile. To have fun together. The seriousness of life can really bog us down, but if we can just remember to smile and play, enjoyin...g each other’s company, we’re going to be just fine. • Last year I shared 8 facts about us, so even though it’s a day late, here are 9 facts about us! • 1. We met in Adelaide, Australia. 2. We started this business together and we’ve built it from the ground up. 3. We got married at a small Alberta lake, on the beach - it has no power and no water! (Same lake that we have our lakelot at now) 4. We’ve lived in 3 countries together - Australia, Canada and New Zealand. (Gareth has lived in 4 since he grew up in England). 5. We started running together (Shauna has ran 2 half marathons and Gareth is going to be running his second marathon in a week!). 6. We both love to read, and we’ve both recently discovered audio books and loving them. 7. We would both rather travel somewhere outdoorsy than to a city. 8. We were so impressed with Shauna and Gareth! They did our newest little one's newborn photos as well as some family photos. I was so grateful for the way in which they were patient and creative with our toddler. They made something that I was originally anxious about, (trying to get her to sit still and smile), actually fun! Also, watching them position and work with my newborn was amazing...they were so gentle and skillful about the way they cared for him during the experience. Shauna and Gareth were professional and quick to respond to emails in the follow up. Most importantly though, our photos turned out beautifully. They captured our precious littles and our family in a way that I'm so grateful to have for the future.

We recently got newborn photos taken for our second child and we couldn't be happier with both the experience and our photos. Both Shauna and Gareth were so patient with our toddler and made it fun for her. We received our images so quickly after the session and were beyond impressed with them. Shauna and Gareth perfectly captured our little family and we can't thank them enough for creating this treasured keepsake for us.

We just had our newborn session with Shauna and Gareth. We are glad we chose them to capture these memories. Both of them were great with our girls and very professional. They listened to some of the ideas we had and helped us incorporate them into our session. They were very patient with our newborn. We received our proofs fairly quickly and were pleased with all of them!

We just got our wedding photos back from Shauna and Gareth and we literally could not wait to write them a review! From the moment we contacted them they were amazing to deal with. Always easy to contact, even when they were in another country, and made everything so easy for us. Our engagement photos turned out perfect for us and we get so many compliments on them. Our wedding photos honestly leave us speechless. Gareth and Shauna have exceeded our expectations on so many levels and we could not be happier with our pictures! Thank you, Shauna and Gareth, for all of your hard work and for being a part of our day!

We had an amazing family session with Shauna and after meeting her, to me, it felt like we had known each other for years. My only regret is not booking Roughley Originals for all our other professional photography needs! I wish there was more than a 5 star rating!

We booked with Roughly Originals for our Maternity, Newborn, 6 month and 1 Year photos. Shauna and Gareth are incredibly talented and easy to work with. They made us feel comfortable and have great open lines of communication. Our photos are beautiful and unique. We will use them for all family photos from this point out. They also shoot beautiful weddings and engagements. Highly recommend in Edmonton and Area

They were so amazing and accommodating as we had a bit of change in plans but they were open to a new idea and concept and willing to work with the situation. Gareth was very skilled in getting our little one to sleep and pose and made it seem so effortless. We love the pictures, thank you!

They did such a great job with our little girl for her newborn photos and our 6 month photos. Looking forward to the 1 year photos�.

Thanks to this wonderful duo we have amazing wedding, newborn, one-year and Christmas family photos. They did beautiful work to make sure our special moments were captured. I’ve loved watching their careers and art grow over the years and we will continue to go to them for all future photos!!

Shauna and Gareth did a fantastic job with capturing our new family. They were so good with our newborn and made us feel very comfortable letting them take over (which was an awesome break for me!). We love all of the photos that came out of our session and will use roughly originals in the future to capture more memories. We also brought my husband's skates to the session and we were so happy with the photos and how they incorporated them into the photos. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the service and the results.

Shauna and Gareth are super down to earth. It was awesome to finally meet them and have them do photos for my family. Very accommodating. Easy going. We had our toddler come along and they were patient and very helpful with her. The patience these two have is above and beyond. I cannot wait to see the final product!! :)

Shauna and Gareth are nothing short of amazing. They were so accommodating on getting my son in for new born photos after a previously booked photographer cancelled last minute and it must have been fate because I am absolutely in love with ever single photo either of them have taken! Shauna and Gareth are awesome to work with. They are incredibly talented but also super friendly and have a nack for getting people to be relaxed and have fun during the whole picture process. Just went for smash cake 1st birthday pictures and I am so please on how the session went! Shauna is professional and warm, it made for a very pleasant experience. Very excited about seeing the end result!

It's hard (read, almost impossible) to get both of my "spirited" boys to focus long enough to capture the moment. When I booked Shauna for a Christmas mini, I was optimistic because I've seen her work, and loved it. The day of the shoot she was PHENOMENAL! She was silly and funny and she did whatever she needed to to get the perfect pictures of my boys. I'm in love with every single proof, it literally took an hour to decide. Roughley Originals is our new family photographer!

Incredible! We had newborn and family photos with Shauna and Gareth and they really blew us away with our session. This was our first time meeting them, but they instantly felt like old friends. They were so great with our very busy toddler and the whole session was very relaxed and comfortable. They gladly incorporated some very personal touches for us and we are thrilled with our photos. You can really tell that a whole lot of love goes into what they do. Highly recommend!

Gareth and Shauna came to shoot a wedding at our wedding venue yesterday and I was thoroughly impressed with how organized they are. They are lovely and so personable. We were able to see a few sneak peaks of their photos they took yesterday and they are incredible! Highly recommend them.

Beautiful pictures, great afternoon! Shauna and Gareth did our sons newborn photographs and we couldn't be happier with the experience overall. Shauna and Gareth are so great to work with- professional and easy going. From setting things up months before the photoshoot to the day of, Shauna and Gareth took care of every detail and even took care of baby during the shoot so Mom and Dad could relax. The afternoon was so enjoyable.The pictures turned out far better than we ever expected and were sent to us just days after so we could review. I would recommend Roughly Originals and we will hire them again in the future.
