Greetings! Our berry season is now over and our u-pick is closed for the season. Thank you to all of our customers and we look forward to seeing everyone in 2019!!

Although our Saskatoon season has come to an end, we still have plump, juicy Nanking, Carmen Jewel and Evans cherries available for picking. Perfect for making jelly, jam, pies and even cherry liquor!! If interested in picking, please give us a call before heading out to our u-pick to confirm availability 😎

Carmen jewel cherries now ready for picking!! Just juiced up a couple of gallons and ready to make jelly and syrup tomorrow. A very juicy and flavorful cherry!!

Our Saskatoon u-pick season is underway! Picking right now is a little slower as not everything ripens all at once of course. If planning a trip to our u-pick, please give us a call prior to coming out to arrange a picking time. 😎

Just took a stroll through the Saskatoon patch and by the looks of things, picking should be available within the week. Unfortunately the berry and apple crops this year are not near as bountiful as last years bumper crops. The excessive heat and lack of moisture this year we’re sure are contributing factors as well. Raspberries are just starting to ripen. The Evans Cherries appear to be quite good but a while yet before they are ready for picking. Last evening while tending to the flowers this little fellow was very busy - a Hummingbird Moth!! Not the best picture, but he is there!! Quite an interesting little creature!!

Things around the farm and the u-pick are definitely progressing nicely. Most everything has finished blooming - the saskatoons, cherries and apples. Hard to believe that in about a month or so, saskatoons and cherries should be ready for picking. Please stay tuned for updates!

A welcome sight! The Baltimore Oriole and the Hummingbird have arrived for the season!! Always so exciting when they return each season!! 😊

While enjoying my coffee on the deck this morning, I’m now convinced that spring is officially here! Not only is the yard and trees showing hints of green but the orchard and berries seem to be progressing nicely as well. Fingers crossed we don’t get any more really cool nights with frost, all the fruit trees, once in bloom, look to be plentiful!! Looking forward to sharing some pictures of things when they are in bloom like last years apple trees. #camroseupick #berries. #eatlocalcamrose. #upickberries.

Meet your farmer! Russ (pictured with nephew Dean) and Sandy started their lovely fruit farm over 20 years ago, planting over 1100 fruit trees. It was a drought year and they had to haul water daily with small tractor and a tank, hand-watering using pails, in order to get the crop growing. Since then, they've developed an abundant orchard of apples, raspberries, cherries, and saskatoons-- juicy, delicious berries-- ripe for the picking every summer! They run their U-pick on the honour system, and love having families and children running around the farm and harvesting their delicious fruit.
