Where to begin? Recording at Sound Extractor has been one of the best recording experiences I've ever had. I along with my band had full trust in Stew Kirkwood behind the glass. His ear is beyond that of a regular engineer, it's super human! Not to mention, the studio is beautiful and has an amazing vibe.

Both Stew and Jeff Kynoch were an honour to work with.

Totally accommodating and top notch facility. Jeff and Stew are a treat to work with!

This place! And Stew. This guy! Honestly, couldn't have asked for a better day! Stew is beyond talented, and we walked away feeling like we'd known the guy for years. He is amazing to be around, crazy good at what he does, and incredibly humble and genuine. The studio is filled with great vibes and is set up perfectly. Would 100% recommend Stew @ Sound Extractor to anyone and everyone! Thanks again Stew! We will be back!

The absolute best. Do yourself a favour and check Stew and his fantastic facility out. No matter what level you are at Stew will bring out the best in you and enhance your songs beyond what you thought possible. Plus the guy is hilarious, personable and a joy to be around. The studio itself is amazing and unique (former racquetball court - think tall roofs) and the control room is full of new and vintage gear and software. I've been outsourcing Stew for my mixes for the past 4 years and did a full LP about 5 years ago, which he produced, and each project has been worth every penny. Simply the best!

Super impressed with the professionalism and comfort of this great little studio. We could not have accomplished half as much as we did in our short window of time with out the help of Jeff Kynoch. He is a fucking rock star on the board and pushed us to do our very best work by providing honest and constructive feedback while offering great advice to really get the best out of each one of our songs. Cannot wait to hear the mixes guys. Thanks again for the amazing hospitality! Can't wait to get back at it ASAP!

It was my first time recording in studio and Jeff did an amazing job walking me and the rest of the band through the process. It was an awesome experience and even though the studio was half torn apart due to renovations, it was still a very professional feeling environment to record in. All in all I'm very excited to go back and record some more!

I recorded a song I wrote for my husband Jered with Stew in one afternoon at Sound Extractor Studios. I had sent a rough voice memo to Stew a week prior and when I came in to record with him, he had listened thoroughly to it, had ideas ready and was enthusiastic. He was patient, listened to my vision, and helped me to bring my song to life in it's best form. Stew played acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass and drums! He engineered, mixed and mastered the song and I am so happy with the finished product. Thank you Stew for an amazing experience! I hope to work with you again soon! <3

Had the great privilege of not only meeting but working along side Stew this past weekend. His positive energy was contagious, his playing and ideas were impeccable and I walked away from the experience feeling like I had made a legitimate friend.
