Southgate Centre is my favorite mall in the city. Its well kept and nice and bright. Not to mention, if you have any questions for the ladies at customer service, they're more than happy to help.

No! -Sears

No! -Women sizes clothing

No! -Sport stores

And now your selling, trucks in a mall!! ...really!!

User

In the customer service "store" the two ladies who worked there were so incredibly nice to me. I had an earl grey tea and watched how great they were with all the people that came in with questions and to rent and return strollers and cell. phone chargers. Fantastic!

User

I spent Family Day having the young Security Guards at Southgate mall take me from the Apple Store to Dollorama back to Safeway where they helped me with my groceries then wheeled me to the food court. They then picked me up at Guest Services, where the young ladies gave me hot coffee and arranged for pick up, and took me to meet my DATS bus. Big Bouquets to all Southgate employees.

User

I love how Southgate has activities now. The roller rink, the pool tables, and the flower festival. It's not just a place to buy meaningless stuff that you don't need. It would be nice to see a Winners or Best Buy where the Sears used to be. Keep up the good work.

User

I love Southgate and have all my shopping life as a matter of fact this mall is my Go to Mall and the only mall I shop - Ooops - once in a while I cheat and shop at Kingsway - keep up the fantastic job and I can hardly wait to see what fabulous stores open up in the Sears vacant space?

If you like your malls sparkling clean, ultra convenient to get to via any form of transit and with the best food court on the south side, what's not to love about Southgate? The only thing it's missing is a VIP movie theatre and a direct pedway connection to the LRT...

User

I got a parking ticket because security thought I parked and walked off of mall property, I was pretty upset about it, but Southgate rectified the situation and had the ticket rescinded.

What happened was that I was in the parking lot, went to see if I could get a haircut, but as a walk-in, was told that a couldn’t get in for over a half hour. I walked back to my truck to drop off my jacket and changed my glasses, then went for a bit of a walk before heading back in for my appointment. I don’t know why mall security thought I took the train somewhere, because I went in the opposite direction and was only at the mall for an hour or so. (I take it that the mall has problems with people doing that).

Anyway Southgate Administration looked after my problem quickly and professionally.

User

Now I know why I did not see any Salvation Army Kettles, ridiculous reason. Also there is no reason why a mother can not breast feed, most woman cover the breast and baby, plus this is the best thing for babies health!

User

I liked the mall until I heard the news about the Salvation Army kettle stand. The "Powers that Be" decided that there wasn't enough room for ONE stand? Make it right Pamela Dela Paz-Gruman, and perhhaps make a donation as a gesture of kindness to an organization that does do much for the vulnerable people in our fine city. I'd like to change my "I didn't like it" to "I loved it".

User

Worst experience now with the customer service department. We are from Ontario and are visiting Edmonton currently. My husband took out two boys, one of whom is autistic to the mall.. and upon trying to get the mall stroller, was refused becoz my autistic 5 yr old was 0.5 cm over the height limit allowed.. poor guy has a meltdown and the customer service reps (2 girls) had no sympathy whatsoever.. Never EVER visiting that mall again!! Sooo disappointed!!!

This review is for Banana Republic in Southgate.

I purchased a shirt yesterday without trying it on. It was on sale. Two weeks prior, I had purchased a sweater from the EXACT same sale rack and was told at that time that if the sweater didn't fit, I could absolutely return it. I specifically asked because I was buying the sweater for a friend, and wasn't sure of her size. The male sales associate was very helpful.

The shirt I bought yesterday turned out to be too big. When I went to return it, I was told I couldn't. I asked if I could receive a store credit, to which both sales associates rudely replied it was final sale, no exchanges, check my receipt.

Okay, sure, maybe my receipt does say final sale.

But when you're selling a final sale item from a sale rack that two weeks prior was NOT final sale, you might consider indicating that at the checkout. And failing that, perhaps just be friendly, instead of smirking at me and insisting that I was told it was final sale...I most certainly was not, because I wouldn't have purchased it!

I shopped at this location monthly. It is near my work and I, up until today, found the staff helpful and friendly.

I won't be going back, which is really unfortunate, because I love the clothing and there are a few sales associates who are truly great with the customers.

This is a review about studio nails. I went in there on Sunday and got my nails done. I phoned back today to say they were already coming off, they said they would replace them but when I got there the girl I got the first time who was in too big of a rush to do them was the person I got. All she did was file them down and apply another top coat and then told me they were perfectly fine and I shouldn't have come. That ruined my whole experience and will no longer be going to Southgate for any reason. I'm very disappointed in the customer service I received. They should really treat customers better before they loose a lot more

User

Not enough in the way of women's clothing stores! There is no Rickis, no Suzy Shiers, no Cleo , no Bootlegger! Not even a SportChek! The few stores they do have is slim pickings for clothes because the stores are so small. Everything is cramped in one small area. The layout of the mall is enough to make you dizzy, you going around in circles, mind boggling! I will not be shopping there again anytime soon!

User

I totally agree. I went to that Mall several times last year around Christmas and I can tell you that there IS enough room for a kettle and a person. Oh wait a second.....maybe not because after all it will take up at least 4 feet (or less). pft. If there is not a space big enough for a person and a small kettle stand, then I think they may be breaking some fire codes. Give me a break! They will not be getting one nickle from me and a lot of my friends feel the same way.

User

How sad. You cannot find square metre of space to put a Salvation Army kettle and volunteer over the holidays? Rediculous! There is likely space at EVERY entrance. I will not shop your mall at all for this reason. Good luck.
