The best dental office i've ever been to. Staff is exceptional, very professional and incredibly friendly! I have switched dental offices for the past 5 years and I can finally say that I found THE ONE!. I will not hesitate to refer my friends and family here!

Love this Dental Clinic! Have been going to it since it's inception and now I have been living in BC for the past 12 years, I always make a point of returning to Southgate each year. The staff are most courteous and polite and the dental work is explained in detail making it easy to understand. Over the years, I have had a lot of dental work done at this clinic and it is always to the highest standard. Thank you to Dr. Hamm and all the staff!

Judy was awesome and very helpful. I am scared of the dentist but both she and Dr. Kelly Acton were great - they talked me through everything and were very efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.

I've been a patient or Dr Gabriel for over 10 years. I have been to several dentists over the years but I have to say the professionalism of him and his staff is exceptional. I love how he will explain the procedure your undergoing in great detail. I have learned so much about dentistry it feels like an apprenticeship! I have had childhood nightmares of going to the dentist for years, so I've never been in a dental office for 18 years. When my boss referred me to dr.tan I was amazed at how gentle and concerning he is. first visit was nerve wrecking ,but when I met him and his assistant I was blown away at how nice and comfortable I felt that I would go multiple times to see them again with no hesitation.

I have been going to this clinic since 1999, when the clinic was smaller and inside the southgate mall. I was a patient of Dr. Gabriel initially, but changed to Dr. Tan after having an issue with Dr.Gabriel. I was with Dr. Gabriel for only a few months. I am very happy to receive excellent dental care by Dr. Tan. He is very professional and passionate to his patients. Recently, I suffered from sensitive and painful teeth and the clinic give me an appointment very quickly (actually Dr. Tan is fully booked and very hard to get appointment in a short notice). He fixed my sensitive teeth problem and I am pain free now.

He always explains procedures and gives you options if needed. Wanita is a great hygienist. I have a very sensitive gag reflex and she is attentive not to trigger it. Highly recommend them.

Dr. Kelly Acton is a superb dentist -- my previous dentist retired and I always thought he was so good with a needle that you barely knew he was inserting it -- well, Dr. A. is as good as Dr. Bene. And he offers excellent advice along with good workmanship. He's a healer, not a dental mechanic. And while I'm passing out compliments, the staff at Southgate is friendly, knowledgeable and create a good atmosphere for what can often be a less-than-fun-experience.

Dr. Gabriel goes above and beyond as he takes the time and effort to explain what he is doing and offers suggestions and options for further treatment.

They are are quick, friendly (which is calming) and entertaining at the same time. They've also introduced me to a few tricks to help my sensitive teeth through the cleaning process. The reception staff are very helpful and pleasant and the dental team is amazing. I was in need of extensive work and Dr. Thakkar has done incredible work that is above and beyond what most dentists would do in my experience. I can not praise their skill, knowledge and considerate nature highly enough. I recommend this clinic to everyone I know and would encourage anyone who is nervous about dentistry to attend this office, as not only are the visits pain free but the atmosphere is downright jovial. Best dentists in the city hands down.

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and were always ready to help. The hygienists who attended to my family and I were also very professional, taking time to explain to each of us, what we needed to know to keep very healthy teeth. The only reason I’m giving a 4 star and not a 5 star is because the dentist who attended to us always appeared to be in a hurry every time we were there. She wasn’t patient enough to explain the results of our x-rays. She just went ahead to ‘diagnose’. She wasn’t friendly and she didn’t offer us much explanation, I constantly needed to ask her lots of questions to understand what the x-ray results meant.

I was referred to Southgate Dental Centre about eight years ago after returning from twenty years abroad. Reception staff are consistently courteous and polite. Hygienist Judy Don and Dr. Acton have attended to me in semi-annual hygiene and examination visits with utmost professionalism. The services I received abroad left me with a few unresolved oral health issues which have since been corrected and my dental health is now primarily maintenance. I would not hesitate to recommend Southgate Dental Centre and in particular Judy Don and Dr. Acton.
