Half up buns- the easy way to prevent your hair from annoying youв Җ вҖўв Җ I usually do this to my hair on day 4 or 5 (if IвҖҷm feeling like my waves are still presentable enough to be down) в Җ вҖўв Җ I zig zag the part so itвҖҷs softerв Җ... вҖўв Җ I use a mini @invisibobble for the pony. Split the pony into two and twist down to the ends. I then wrap it around until itвҖҷs sitting how I want and use the @goodyhair twist in pins to secureв Җ вҖўв Җ To refresh the rest of my hair at this point I take @innersenseorganicbeauty I Create Waves salt spray and a bit of foam and scrunch like crazy! в Җ вҖўв Җ вҖўв Җ And voila! Takes about 5 minutes to do

As of the end of today, I will no longer be accepting new clients in my booking system. в Җ в Җ Currently I am booking into May which feels surreal, and I am so happy to have the clientele I have! However I need to focus and be loyal to the ones that have been coming to me since the very beginning. в Җ в Җ I will of course be keeping new clients appointments that have already been booked. I still really enjoy having new people in, with that being said if anyone would like to be added... to my вҖҳwait listвҖҷ I would be more than happy to accommodate you when I have room. You can text, DM, Facebook message or email me to be added to that list. в Җ в Җ Thank you for the amazing support through the past 5 months! IвҖҷm so humbled to be where I am today, I still have to pinch myself!

IвҖҷve been hearing a lot of talk about how glycerin dries your curls out more in cold weather. This may be true for some people, but I myself need more glycerin in weather like this to tame my frizzies so I have smooth hair just like this lady. в Җ в Җ ThereвҖҷs so much talk about what you can and canвҖҷt do in the curly girl method and IвҖҷm finding itвҖҷs really discouraging people from wearing their curls because itвҖҷs overwhelming and confusing. в Җ в Җ So if IвҖҷm speaking to you, a curly girl whoвҖҷs overwhelmed and confused, just know that what you read isnвҖҷt always going to be for you and thatвҖҷs okay!

All about the S H A P E в Җ Who here has had a triangle hair cut? рҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸв Җ Who here has had steppy layers? рҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸв Җ Who here has left the salon crying? рҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸв Җ Who here talked to a salon that said they вҖҳknowвҖҷ curly hair? рҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸв Җ... Who here is over it? рҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹҷӢрҹҸ јвҖҚвҷҖпёҸв Җ We have different curl types, different textures and different needs with curly hair. в Җ DonвҖҷt let a bad hair cut discourage you from wearing it curly, that stylist had no intent on making you sad about your hair but they just donвҖҷt understand how different your hair is. в Җ в Җ Curl specific cuts are meant to let every curl co exist in harmony. That means no triangles, horrible layers, or straightening your hair when you leave the salon. в Җ That sounds like a much better experience рҹ’ҒрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹ’ҒрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹ’ҒрҹҸ јвҖҚвҷҖпёҸ

G O L D E N W A V E S в Җ I think the appointments I get most excited for are when a curly girl is embracing what sheвҖҷs naturally got finally. Most of us straightened our hair into submission for years and when you finally let it go natural itвҖҷs exciting to see what your hair can really do.

B R I L L I A N T B R U N E T T E в Җ a before picture would have been nice to show that we took her from blue-black hair to this multi dimensional brown. ThereвҖҷs so many levels of pigment to lift through, I saw her hair go from black-red-orange before it was toned to this. This is why itвҖҷs costly and takes patience to get lighter, especially if you donвҖҷt want to chop your hair to a pixie from damage

Anyone who has ever doubted the benefits of Olaplex No. 3 please take the time and read this! Not only does it help heal your hair from colour damage but it can help heal your hair from heat damage. It is not a hair mask, itвҖҷs to help the bonds in the hair. I still recommend using your deep conditioner once youвҖҷve rinsed out the No. 3 treatment

Okay curlies, we need to talk рҹҳҢв Җ Often in the curl community everyone talks about G E L в Җ I personally L O V E gel as it creates amazing curl and definition in my hair. However what works for Suzy doesnвҖҷt always work for Sally в Җ This beauty (seriously, how gorgeous is her hair?! ItвҖҷs almost down to her butt CURLY!) struggles with gel. It just doesnвҖҷt work for her hair. It CREATED more frizz and left it stringy and tangly. If this is your struggle I challenge you to throw what you know out the window and try something different We used @innersenseorganicbeauty curl cream and volume lotion on her hair and she got the best result sheвҖҷs had in weeks

fun fact: when I first started doing hair I competed in couture bridal up dos. No one would really ever want to wear those for an actual wedding, people donвҖҷt seem to like the idea of having hair bigger than their dresses рҹҳүрҹӨ·рҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸв Җ This I recently did in Jasper, just a simple and elegant twisty вҖҳdo

Anyone else super low-maintenance with their hair? рҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹҷӢрҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸI only colour my hair once (or twice if IвҖҷm feeling it) a year now. вҖў I used to be the typically hair stylist that got her colour done every 3-4 weeks and honestly who has time for that? рҹӨ·рҹҸјвҖҚвҷҖпёҸ I like to use that mentality when it comes to my wonderful clients. вҖў Whether you colour your hair for fun or your camouflaging arctic blondes, whatever the case may be, 80% of my clientele only sees me 2-4 times a year. ... вҖў When you sit in my chair, my job is to give you a simple style when it comes to cuts and colour. Simple meaning you can achieve a similar look at home with the steps I give you. You can grow your style out easily over time and not be worrying how it looks 3-5 months later.

T I P S A N D T R I C K S Currently IвҖҷm in Mexico, and the humidity here is amazing! I feel like I get the best hair when IвҖҷm in a humid place, yet I know some people really struggle with it. So hereвҖҷs a few rules 1) if you have high porosity like me (meaning your hair is like a sponge) fill it with as much moisture as possible so it doesnвҖҷt absorb the humidity in the air around you! 2) use a gel high in glycerin. This will help smooth down frizzy pieces. 3) just embrace it. YouвҖҷre on holidays (probably) and the last thing you need to worry about when youвҖҷre pool side is your hair рҹҢҙрҹҚ№
