St. Martin De Porres School

Online registration for the 2019-2020 school year will start on January 14, 2019, at 8:00 a.m.
Prior to that, parents/guardians can start to fill out the online registration application as of December 18 at 12:00 p.m. Applications can be submitted beginning January 14, 2019.

Saying good bye is never easy. Our 1K class had a tearful good bye for Miss Newfield, as she ended her practicum today. Thank you for your passion, Miss Newfield, we were blessed to have you as part of our St.Martin family.

Thank you to 1W & 4J for leading our 2nd week of Advent Mass. A special thanks to Father Tom for always ensuring our Mass is kid-friendly and meaningful.

Sneak peek!! We are practicing for our Production, on December 19 @1:30 & 6:30. The classes have been busy rehearsing as individuals; however, today we have brought all 260 kids together! If you still need last minute tickets, please see the front office.

The Grade 2M & 2s from 2/3M classes participated in Exploring Water Stations in science.

A huge shoutout and THANK YOU to Mrs.Lawrance for piloting 5 ART ZONE days this Fall. Our students are so blessed to be immersed in the fine arts and be given opportunities such as these! See the Grade 5 clean-up process today...from Art Zone disaster to a sparkly clean gym!

ART ZONE for the Grade 5 classes today! The students are learning about the fine art of ‘paverpol’. They started with a wire base, added tinfoil to create their shape, wrapped the shape with cloth and added the paverpol to stick it all together. We can’t wait to see the final products.

Our Grade 1K students are amazing little writers! Check out their melted snowman.

The Grade 4 students are busy at work today finishing their Art Zone projects.

The 5Z class was completely engaged in coding today at the Sylvan Learning Centre. All students can engage in basic coding makerspaces in our learning commons on a rotational basis.

Advent CREATE today! The students are participating in a variety of fine arts activities.

The Grade 4 and 5 students were completely engaged in a Harry Potter themed Math Fair at RDC.

Thank you to everyone for supporting our Movember Moustache Day! We will donate the $128.25 that was raised.

Thank you to Mrs. Lawrance for leading another successful Art Zone Day! The Grade 3 and 4 students were up to their elbows in clay sculptures and abstract art.

I was there from kindergarten to grade five and I can not thank the staff enough for pushing me to go the extra mile sure going to church was boring but I still go to church to this day so from a girl in grade 8 if your looking to put your kid through a good school this is the one and the teachers are understanding kind and all around amazing I plan to visit when I can :D
