Went in early afternoon after my son was diagnosed with appendicitis. The staff practically flew us through the process and surgery. Never seen any medical procedure fast tracked like that before. Staff were fantastic; took great care to listen and treat Zachary.

We went there for our son's dental surgery and EVERYONE was amazing! They listened to our concerns and suggestions for our son who can be (and was a little) difficult. The nurses I could not say enough about as they not only were great with our son but also included our daughter who was along for the ride! Everyone made what could have been a very difficult day one that I would not fear to repeat and a VERY special day for our daughter. Thank you everyone!

We visited a friend and it was our first time in this hospital. The staff were very helpful! The pharmacist named Eden walked an extra mile. She was on break but she helped is big time.

We had a great experience with doctor Dick Donald Abram the surgeon who took great care of my daughter knees, after disappointments and failure of the children orthopedic at Calgary Children's Hospital who told us " there is nothing! Nothing can be done, it's gone case" But, thanks a lot to Dr Donald who made the decision to do surgery within 10 minutes by examining my daughter's knees and the medical images. Regardless of the long trips from Medicine Hat to Edmonton, it worth it! Stoller Children's Hospital great hospital with great people who passionately loves their job.

There are no words to explain my appreciation for the Stollery. The doctors saved my daughters life who has 22Q and needed open heart surgery when she was 11 days old. The staff there are amazing and made us feel so comfortable during our stay. They got excited with us every time Kylie had made progress. They were so supportive during our hard times. We are still there almost weekly due to numerous appointments for Kylie and I enjoy every time I'm there. Plus their food is sooooo good. I'm in love with the chicken noodle bowl. To the doctors, nurses, cooks everyone there thank u for all that u do

The team of people at the Stollery were incredible. Lucas was admitted for appendicitis and obviously had a little anxiety. The staff were incredibly supportive and the surgery was virtually seamless. Thank you very much for taking care of Lucas!

My granddaughter will be in Stollery For a year on Tuesday May 22. I love the care she gets there. When she was very sick I have seen doctors and nurses come in her room to see how she was, to touch her, and to express their thoughts and concerns to her parents. Genuine care and support at Stollery.

I went to the stollery to get a second opinion on extreme pain I was having adter being told I was fine by the Leduc Community Hospital, and they helped me by doing all the necessary tests to diagnose me properly. They kept me overnight and gave me all the right attention and met my needs. The pain meds helped with the pain and the staff made sure I was well taken care of, this is the best place ever. I love the stollery and if I ever get injured again I would go there and as I work in the field of sports medicine for a highschool team I will be sending any and all injured players to the stollery

I was there with my little guy this weekend. The waiting was long but that does not take away from the amazing care these nurses and doctors provide. The triage nurses were checking and on the ball with every child that was there while we were waiting to be admitted. Being a nurse myself, I can not do the great job your guys do, and also the unit manager was incredible. Thank you

Dr. Hamdy El Hakim is the most amazing ENT this country has. He really really cares and you can feel it. My daughter had tracheomalacia and stenosis. We were told by vancouver children's hospital that she was too small and that they dont so broncoscopies during winter then we went to Calgary children's hospital and were put on the back burner for 11 months by another ent. After being infected with sudomonous and many dangerous pnemonia infections we came to Dr. El Hakim in desperarion. He saw us within a matter of weeks did a bronchoscopy a month later (during the winter have you) and 2 months after that preformed a full sucessful tracheal reconstruction surgery! Within a year she was trach free and gtube free! He is our hero! The Stollery is filled with absolutely exceptional staff and i will never stop telling the world how they changed our lives with living care and expertise!

A HUGE Appreciation for this place! The staff is beyond amazing with my boys! 💗💗

The doctors and nurses on 4E4 were wonderful. Very helpful, concerned, empathetic, and thorough. We had a rough time in ER. It was very busy, and that is not my complaint, there was a rather rude and did not communicate in an appropriate manner. That said, administration was quick to follow up and address the issue.

User

You provided substandard care to a child because she had Down's Syndrome and was nonverbal. Now, the little girl is even more limited in her ability to communicate and it's your fault! You need to make this right, compensate the family, and fire the staffers involved in this kid's crappy care.

Worst experience I've ever had at this hospital twice now ! Waited 15 hours the first time to see if we could get help for my 12 year old, daughter who has a mental health issue! no psychiatrist on duty so they pass us off to a student in practice who actually was really nice talked with us for a while on how to handle some situations with our daughter but that was all he could do so they discharged us !! Fast forward 7 months and we've been Having the same problems with her they air lift her from Fort mcmurray to the stollery with a referral from a doctor saying it's a serious issue she needs help. Meet with the doctor and nurses first thing when we get there and then don't see a doctor for 17 hours !! The nurses were excellent but the doctors handling this were terrible they talk to her for 30 mins then us for 20 mins then determine that there wasn't anything psychologically that they could help her with !! They tell us they reviewed her medication and that it's suppose to be working (which it isn't ) then pass us off to social services saying there's not much we can do for her unreal !!! Don't think they know how it feels to watch your 12 year old daughter try and hurt herself and have violent rages and have depression and so much anger she can't explain and tells us there's something wrong with her !! I hope no parent has to go thru the same thing we have with this hospital !!!

User

Worst experience I have ever had with the stollery... my 12 year old son secretly planned and attempted to commit suicide... after waiting for 5 hours we were told that there was no psychiatrist on shift and that my son who didn't know if he was going to harm himself tonight was discharged... told to call his psychiatrist and see if she can get him in sooner than a month for his scheduled appointment and to lock everything up including shoe laces... this is not the first time ... shame on our mental health care system for failing our children when they need it most....

They completely dropped the ball with our infant daughter on two occasions. We were sent to Stollery by Ambulance not once but twice with our little one who was premature failed to thrive and would have horrible spells were she would quit breathing go stiff and start bubbling fluid from her mouth and nose for no apparent reasons. The one Doctor all but patted me on the head and said there there Mommy its all in your head. The next time we were admitted they put us in a room with a much older child,we kept getting kicked out of even if my baby was sleeping because her room mate needed a time out as they called it, they would put this child in her crib put up the rails close the door and walk away she could be heard screaming all over the wing we were in.Doctors discharged us with no diagnosis no warning knowing full well we were from out of town and I had no way to get home until at least 6pm when my parents were done work they didn’t care at alI 9:30 am we were handed our discharge papers and sent on our way, a very snotty nurse asked as we were leaving if I wanted a first aid and CPR course to learn how to deal with my child when she quit breathing and reminded that when it happens just call 9-1-1. With were we live waiting 45 minutes or more for an ambulance to arrive is a very sad but real possibility do to being in a rural location. Thank god Im in the Emergency Services and have the training and knowledge to deal with the spells when they came up, it angers me further that it took 10 weeks for them to think to offer me a CPR course. After the way we were treated I hope I never ever have to take my children there again it was down right despicable.
