a year ago i did basic obedience with greg and learned so much. my puppy was a dream dog...until i got my second pup. i realize now how lazy i became with training when the second one came along as it was so much harder. being back to work for the first time in 3 years also didn't help my laziness and before i knew it my once dream pup became the biggest ass hole...had a private session with greg yesterday and in less than 24 hours i feel like i have control again with not just my ass hat aggressive dog but with my highly anxious afraid of everything dog too. The knowledge that gets past on in these sessions are worth every penny and than some. The whole stubbs team (as i've spoken to a number of them over the past year) are fantastic to deal with and only want the best for you and your pup. Fort McMurray is so lucky to have such a great resource for pet owners!!!

Wow that was the best two hour session we could have imagined! Ryan and Brad were absolutely amazing, and showed us how non verbal cues are the key to good structure. We recently adopted a puppy from the SPCA and we had been struggling with walks; yanking and not listening to our verbal commands. Ryan and Brad were instantly able to get our dog to follow on walks and not get too excited. They taught us how to properly teach a dog to follow, how to grab their attention, and listen to us both on and off the leash. We feel like we have a whole new dog and can't stop smiling! Ryan and Brad were friendly, professional and all around pleasant to be with. They even brought another dog with them as part of the training, which was great and unexpected! We would highly recommend Stubbs obedience, and are looking forward to the upcoming classes! Thanks again Ryan and Brad!!

Within two hours I have three dogs that don’t stress me out , I honestly didn’t expect a change in Lola and already she’s a better dog , now to keep up with training yay Stubbs

We just want to say what a difference having Ryan come to see Bentley has made in our dog!! Before, we couldn't have people even come to the front door! Now, people love coming to visit us and Bentley, and he sits waiting patiently with his tail wagging waiting to be greeted! We can trust him in a room with our son now. And our nightly walks are one of our favorite times with Bentley! Thank you for coming to "teach us" how to be proper dog owners:) We highly recommend Ryan and his team!!

We had an excellent experience with Stubbs Obedience. The patience, knowledge and dedication that Jay and the rest of the trainers have for both the dogs and the owners is remarkable. The difference is seen immediately, you can actually watch them learn and get smarter. For best results, remember to take this experience as an education for both you and your dog.

User

We did the 2hr Home visit......just in those 2hrs we learned so much.......we have a plan in place for our dogs....we will be doing follow up visits......highly highly recommend....

We adopted a Bernese Mountain Dog 2 months ago (95 lbs 10 months old). Kaslo has the best in house manners but when we took him out he treated Bridget (my 13 year old) and I like we were his puppy friends. Not aggressive per say; but wanting to play and not looking to us for commands. Basically a "free for all" when outdoors. When he would see other dogs he would not listen at all! Wanted to play BUT we needed him to focus on us and wait for permission from us. Tears were becoming a common thing after each walk! Bridget and I are not big people so we needed confidence that he will always listen to us to keep himself safe.

2 hours with Ryan...my daughter was walking straight and with confidence and bonded with Kaslo. Able to apply REAL techniques that she can use all the time! Kaslo was looking to her for direction. We were not able to get Kaslo in the car (what dog doesn't like to go for drives...ours apparently)...Ryan taught us how to get him in the car. He didn't know where his back legs where. Ryan we cannot thank you enough! We highly recommend Stubbs Obedience! So professional and friendly. Bridget feels like Kaslo is HER DOG! She is soooo happy to finally feel that way!!!

Ryan and the team are amazing. I sent my dog Roco to Ryan for a 2 week boot camp to help him with his anxiety. Àfter the first week I was invited to train with my dog Roco. I couldn't believe how well behaved my dog is and the amazing things he can do. I met some of the other trainers during class and everyone was so helpful and took the time to speak to me personally. They thought nothing of coming over to help me and make sure I was doing things correctly. Thanks Ryan and the rest of the team at Stubbs Obedience.

My young pug, Nyx, had been becoming increasingly timid and actually became afraid of any one other than me over the last 6-8 months, even family! She was terrified of her own shadow even when we were at home with just us. Her anxiety was so bad she actually got sick at one point and ended up having to be taken into the vet on intravenous. I contacted Ryan, and after multiple conversations and some research on his part we decided to try his Behavioral Modification Boot Camp. Nyx was with him for a little less than two weeks, and she came home a confident anxiety free dog with exception to a few little quirks that Ryan helped set me up to continue to improve on, and one week later I have seen even more improvement!! I would recommend this program for anyone with a dog experiencing the same concerns, and I would recommend Ryan and Stubbs Obedience for any other training or behavior needs. My fun loving lil Battle Pug as Ryan uniquely called her has benefit so much and I cannot thank Ryan enough for giving me back my lil buddy :)

My husband and I had a visit with Ryan last night to help with Prince our 5 pound chihuahua/yorkie who pulls like crazy on a leash, doesn't listen when outside at all and goes crazy and tries to attack other animals when walking on leash. Ryan worked with us for 2 hours last night and before the 2 hours was up Prince was like a different dog. No pulling and would walk beside me, he was listening to me while walking and didn't go crazy trying to attack another dog even when one was barking in his face. My mind is blown. Today I have walked Prince several times and he is still walking beside me, listening and on our walk by the dog park I was able to correct him and keep him from going crazy. Never did I think I would ever feel comfortable and relaxed walking my dog but I sure did today. Ryan I am so thankful for your help. You are absolutely amazing at what you do and down to earth and super easy to talk to. Thank you for teaching us how to make owning our amazing dog more enjoyable and less stressful. Prince seems much less stressed as well. He already doesn't expect to be on the couch and our bed and stays in his bed on the floor. This whole thing has completely blown my mind at how much has changed and so fast. Seriously the best money I have ever spent!!! Thank you Ryan!!!

My beagle has epilepsy, and anxiety was triggering seizures. His vet recommended medication. He went to boot camp where he learned to relax and become a calm dog. Ryan and his team were very patient with him! They went above and beyond and treated him like their own. During his reintegration back home, Ryan educated me on how to maintain this new calm behaviour.

He's doing very well now; he relaxes everywhere he goes, and he isn't on medication!!

This has been a great experience, and couldn't be happier with the results :)

User

Just had a consultation with Ryan about my 4 month old American Pitbull. Very informative, gave us the tools we will need to train him properly. Will definitely be going to his elite class. Highly recommend him.

User

It's been a week since we had our meeting with Ryan and I could not be more thrilled about our experience! Our 10 year old shepherd/Akita mix was a nightmare to walk and to bring around other dogs, two hours with Ryan and she is now a dream! She hardly needs any corrections even when we first leave the house. Meeting other dogs no longer gives me anxiety!

My advice is to not wait any longer!! Ryan does not judge, does not dwell on why the dog behaves badly, he simply teaches you how to correct the unwanted behavior. He is just amazing!!

I am still amazed with every walk, 10 years of pulling and disliking other dogs was far too long for something Ryan corrected in a few minutes!!

If you are even thinking about calling him.. just do it, you will have no regrets!!

User

I have nothing but great things to say about Ryan & Brad and all of the training me and my Rottweiler puppy have had. About 6 weeks ago I was ready to re-home my dog due to food aggression and being afraid of him. After a couple of sessions with Brad I have a new and stronger relationship with my dog where I feel that I am in control at home. Of course we still have a lot of work to do in the coming months but I am so happy that I was able to develop myself as a handler and keep my pup. I will be continuing with Stubbs and I would recommend them to anybody having issues with their power breed.

User

I have a totally different well behaved dog after the 2 hours session with brad. My 9 months old Golden Doodle puppy has so much energy and Brad taught us simple and more effective ways to work him out. Brad educated me and my family a lot on how to properly treat my dog to make him more obedient. Walking my dog was always a tiring process. Brad taught us simple techniques to make the walk a pleasant and relaxing process. Altogether i have a different and well behaved dog right now. I would have given 10 stars if the scale is 1 to 10.

Brad's dog training techniques are wonderful. I would recommend him to all the novice dog owners who are struggling to train their dogs by following online blogs. Thanks a lot Brad!!!

I absolutely adore Nixon. He is a Pitbull who is 14 months old and we have gotten so close last several weeks. Absolutely amazing feeling with unconditional love except when I took him around people and other dogs. His barks and growls were petrifying to others and we both tensed up. I never had a puppy in my life and only read online with help from friends trying understand Nixon. I called Ryan for an appointment and within seconds after he arrived he had him under control and eating out of his hands. He came for 2 hours consultation at my place and he showed me how to handle Nixon. He showed me what I was doing wrong as a handler and also what I was doing right. The best thing I learnt was that it was never Nixon's fault but how I was reacting to him and how my emotions interfered. We still have a lot of training and understanding each other but it's a great help with Ryan being only a phone call away. It's a great start and thankful that we have dog whisperes like Ryan in Fort Mcmurray. Thank you Ryan from both of us for making this bonding with Nixon and incredible journey:) Best phone call I made. Thanks Brad for the recommendation and slip lead you gave. Great caring dog lovers who are willing to help others:)

User

Had a great experience with this bunch. Very knowledgeable. Would recommend.

User

Great experience. Ryan is very knowledgeable and friendly. I did the two hour session at my house yesterday. I have a rescue puppy who is very food aggressive, he had her laying there with the food dish on top on her feet and she wouldn't touch it until she was given permission, I was completely amazed! I feel like I have much more control of my dogs now and a lot less stress, it will only get better from here! I am considering continuing with more training once we have the basic obedience down. Thank you so much Stubbs Obedience! Highly recommended and totally worth the money!

User

Brad was amazing with our highly energetic, Frenchton pup! We learned so much from him in 2 hours and have seen great improvements since his first visit. Thanks again!
